  1. Sara, I SO agree with you!! I have been a clearance finder for YEARS.....way way before it became "trendy" and all these blogs and forums. I did it out of necessity when I was a stay at home mom with 5 kids and a hubby making less than $20000 per year. I am now a single mom on an even more limited income and when all these folks who have the money to buy up aisles worth of stuff at half off come on the scene, it RUINS it for those of us who actually NEED to buy on clearance!!! People should use a bit of discretion and SHARE!!!!! These folks are greedy in my opinion and though some may give to charities, I truly believe most of them are doing something else....such as reselling perhaps?!! It is really TOOO bad!!
  2. I really think it depends on the item!! Some items have huge markups and they still make money at 75% off, whereas with other items the markup isn't so big and therefore they may even take a bit of a loss. I think the biggest problem is that due to forums like this and all the MANY bloggers out there, way more folks are aware of the cycles for mark downs, etc plus, management realizes what is going on and have chosen to cut back. I liked it better when it was mostly those of us who HAD to buy on clearance or do without that got the deals. Now folks who aren't single moms working for minimum wage and who have the time to "stalk" items make it harder for those of us who truly can ONLY buy on clearance after work or on the weekend. And for those folks who buy out whole sections of stuff only to resell.....well, shame on them!!!
  3. They should ABSOLUTELY limit the number of toys that folks can buy! That is totally ridiculous! If he is so hard up to "make a living" how could he afford to buy all that at one time?!! People are SOOOOO greedy! It's the folks like me who can't afford to buy cool toys unless they are 75% off that lose out! It is really sad. I have been buying clearance for 22 years (oldest of 5 is 22, youngest is 11), waaaaaay before all these blogs which has ruined things for folks like me. I chose to stay home to raise my own kids in spite of the hubby making less than $30,000 a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is very discouraging. Now we are divorced and being a single mom trying to find a decent job after so many years at home has been tough to say the least! Minimum wage just doesn't go very far! So, when you are out there grabbing up everything in sight, please think of those of us who can ONLY afford things at 75% off!!!
  4. Personally I think that due to so many resellers out there, Target should put a limit on the number of clearance items one person can buy!! I would think 5 of each item is plenty for everyone. I know there are some who would hit every store or go out and come back in, but it would still give those of us who NEED the clearance items a better chance of getting something we can afford!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. oops, looks like it's not even in mine, though i rarely if ever post....how do you get your location on there?!
  6. sure wish people had their location in ther information....would help a lot in knowing if it could be in my area...thanks
  7. Anyone in Wichita, KS? What are the stores doing down there clearance-wise? I live about an hour or so away and don't want to make the drive unless it's good! The one in Hutch has hardly any 75% off toys.
