  1. Statistically speaking children are not injurred by falling off the trampoline so really a net is not the safety feature you need. Children are injurred on trampolines by having more than 1 child jump on the trampoline at the same time.

We had a trampoline when my kids were younger. With proper supervision and the 1 child bouncing on it at a time, no injuries. I work at a school and in the last 3 weeks have seen 2 kids in casts and yup, it was a trampoline accident and yup several children were bouncing on the trampoline at the same time.

The mat is pulled super tight by the force of a bounce down by 1 kid, when the 2nd kid hits it as it is that tight, its like hitting cement.

Good luck, we had lots of fun with ours, the Easter bunny brought it..heard him swear as he was pulling those springs to fit in the dark of the night.

  2. :gdclap:

ok. So when they stopped handing out snow globes is when Black Friday went "mainstream"?

The elitist attitude of the OP is repeated by other people in other niche hobbies.... and with that, the implication that the definition of "going mainstream" is anybody who joins in after I do.

The whole sentiment is pretty silly. And blaming retailers for the added exposure is even sillier. As if none of the Black Friday campers brag about their scores to anyone who will listen. How many times do friends and family have to hear about the $50 computer or $75 entertainment system before they join in?

:gdclap: Reminiscing is all fine and dandy of the good ol' days. What I hear in this thread is the same sentiment of "young people these days! The world is going to hell with the way things are run now" type of attitude. It is what it is folks. Taking personal responsibility for all of our part in the way things are turning out is what is needed. We are not "entitled" just because we breathe and shop. If you get the deal, then great, if not oh well it was worth a shot.

  3. Yesterday I got...

Xbox 360 chill station 14.95 originally 20.xx (haven't bought anything less than 50% off in a long time but I needed this so the controllers aren't everywhere)

Be careful of the chilling fan running off the usb. I know the 360 runs hot, but we had purchased a different cooling system using usb and it gave us the ring of death  .

If you are only using it to neatly store controllers then fine.

    good luck!!
