It's an interesting thought.... I need to look up the info on my MC and see what I can figure out as well.
Update: I looked up the Citi "Additional Disclosures" for my Citi MC. In addition to the $250/item, $1000/year limits it looks as if this is the clause they would use against you if they felt like being difficult:
"Items advertised in or as a result of “limited quantity”, “going out-of-business sales”, “cash only” or “close out” advertisements, items shown on price lists or price quotes, cost savings as a result of manufacturer’s coupons or free items, or where the advertised price includes bonus or free offers, special financing, installation or rebate, or one of a kind or other limited offers."
Almost all BF items are listed as limited quantity, so I image that this is where they will get you. If you get the adscan early enough and can see that it is clearly NOT listed as limited quantity and not a special SKU, this might work.
