  1. I got a record player --> to mp3 transfer for 25.00 off.  We have just unearthed all the records that my hubby's family listened to while growing up.  Putting the ones that haven't been release digitally on thumb drives will be a good Christmas present.

  2. I miss Sears, they would hand out gift certificates to the first 100 shoppers, always went there first

Then on to JC penneys for the snow globe

Target at one time also gave out some swag to the first 100 shoppers back in the day.

Thanks for mentioning Sears.  I thought I was the only one.  I loved getting pjs for me and my mom there.

  4. What’s the price adjustment “rules” at WM this time of year? I seen a couple are interested in the Apple Watch; so am I for my 18 year old who thinks what’s mine is hers lol ...are we able to buy now and get a price adjustment???

No price matching at my store.  We don't ever have it anymore.

I've never bought the sheet sets either.  I do remember them having them in years past as well.  This is the first year I actually need a sheet set..lol.  I am going to look up reviews (if I can find the same sets online) before I buy them.

I have bought the sheets several times.  They are pretty good.  Last year they still had them in my local store two weeks after BF.

After purchasing two tvs last week, I have learned my lesson.  I bought the 42" the first week and was told a week later that they were out of stock.  I bought two of the 55" the following week.  I followed some GD advice and put in for in store pick up.  I got the tvs the following Sunday.  I am now a believer in store pick up.

  5. I have two favorite gifts:

The first was 15 years ago.  The first grown up gift from my nephew.  He gave us a wooden elephant.  What made it special was that he had seen an elephant figuring at our house years earlier and remembered that we collected elephants (We didn't, the elephant he saw had been from a previous owner of our house.). The thought was awesome.

The second was from my assistant eight years ago.  One day she asked me about green being my favorite color.  I let her know that my favorite color was blue.  I wore a lot of green because I bought my sweatshirts from a second hand store and more people give up green than blue.  The next day we exchanged gifts.  She gave me a blue beaded star that had each of the beads sewn together.  She let me know that originally she had a made me a green one.  She went home after our conversation and finished the blue star.  I don't know if I have ever felt so touched.

  6. Happy December, everyone! We got a nice dump of snow yesterday - it looks so pretty outside. Unfortunately, it's going to warm up this weekend and melt again - 3rd time this winter.

I had to look where you are from when I read your description of snow this year.  I am in Anchorage too.  We piled up snow from the first snow so we still have that left.    I do so love to use my back porch as a freezer on Thanksgiving.
