But then, friday morning, I get a knock at the door and voila!

there was the fedex delivery guy with the laptop!

three full days in advance!

 

Really like the look of the laptop!

By the way, Marc, I spoke to HP sales and they gave me an additional 10% discount!

And... I didn't have to wait for the notebook to arrive for them to refund the balance.

 

The guy said, I should have the moola in 5 to 7 days.

I also used the 20% off coupon for the dv2500t which brought the price down from $1055.98 to $844.78 (pretax). I bought the notebook on HP's official website.

Having got a big discount like that on a decent piece of machinery I was elated!

This was about a week back.

Today I was just trawling through the net and accidentally happened to see the 30% off coupon!

Needless to say I felt GUTTED!!!

 

Until I read your post in here about some 'price protection'.

 

Please, please tell me all about this, cos I have NO idea what it is.

This was my first real purchase in the US and don't really know how to avail 'price protection'.
