  1. I have the first generation Kindle and love it, would highly recommend it. I bought it used off a friend (who had to have the latest version :) & have never had any issues with it. It is really convenient to use, simple to get books etc. (I have the rubber protector around it put it in a zipped up clear case because I do a lot of reading on the beach and didn't want sand to get into it). That being said - if my Kindle dies - I would get an Apple IPad. I know it is a lot more expensive, but it has the different reading formats (you can put the kindle ap on there) and it would also allow me to ditch all my other electronic devices. Slightly off topic, but just my 2 cents.
  2. Think it depends on the children. My two hellions would be all over the store & it would be a miserable time for me. So I use "daddy daycare" - my kids have a great morning with their dad staying in the jammies all morning & sneaking food they shouldn't eat out of the closet :D and momma enjoys a morning of shopping & over priced coffee! If my husband had to work that day (we have no family around) then I would do the shopping before 8am and return home to the children when he went to work....

I know some kids would be perfectly able to stay quietly with their parents...just not mine

  3. Great find, bovichtj!

And just look at those reviews: 1,242 customer reviews giving it an overall 4.5 out of 5 star reviews!!!

AND: Get a cookbook free when you purchase select KitchenAid stand mixers. Offer valid through December 31, 2008. (this is listed under Rebate Offer)

Imo, this is one of the better KitchenAid stands. Number one: It has the bowl with the HANDLE!!! And the Pouring Shield! If I am correct, normally you have to buy those two parts separately.

I seriously do not know what lady wouldn't love this as a gift! Same for the guys that cook, also. They would be thrilled.

Looking at the rebate forms -- couldn't see how you can get both the $$ rebate and cookbook. Both rebates require the original UPC -- is it on the box twice?? :)

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
