  1. It seems this year a lot of people will get initiated on their maiden BF voyage, and BF chatters on the Internet are all over the places. I'm thinking maybe there will be tons of more people joining the BF early bird foray this year and mayhem will break out over some sizzling hot items. Last year, there were a few incidents at Walmart that people pushed and shoved to lay their hands on merchandise and some woman got trampled and tried to sue Walmart. My hunch is this year will probably get a lot worse and lawyers will be camping in the parking lots. Am I too pessimistic about the good nature of Americans???

Well, the main incident last year was the Wal-Mart woman, but if you remember, it came out later that she's claimed to have been trampled or hurt in about 10 different stores in the past few years.

Here's a link to the story...

  2. You would think if TRU wanted to win this years "toy war" with Walmart, they would have tons of super deals on toys. Also price match to get that edge over Walmart. Guess they do want to go under as their ad was pretty bad!

So what you're saying is...is to succeed, TRU should match other people's loss leaders (that's when you sell an item below cost), thereby losing money and this will somehow help them to stay in business?!?!?

    :cry2:

  3. Wouldn't they lose even more if you didn't buy at all? If they don't want to price match on an item I want I will go somewhere else. Unless other stores are out of them and it's the last one on the shelf! Otherwise if that is the way they want to be then they can keep it. Then they can lose my sale completely.

No, if you're buying items at a loss to them, it is better for them if you don't buy anything. They're not losing money on no sale compared to a sale where they take in less than they paid for the items.

  4.

I've already written a letter to corporate to let them know my feelings on this :smart:

I'm not really sure that corporate is going to care that you're upset with a policy change that will prevent then from losing money on your purchases.

    C'mon people, get real here.
