  1. I was in the JC Penny store tonight. The sales associate was nice enough to place the catalog order for me so that the $25 off $100 would apply. Then, she said there'd be no shipping charge if I picked it up at the store. (Their shipping tends to be a little high, and there's no way around it if you order yourself). So, if it is worth a trip to the store, avoid 'do it yourself' catalog orders and get the discount from store ordering!!
  2. So my DD & I go into JCP while DH and DS go to Waldenbooks. We go with my two $10/off 10purchase in hand. I find a purse on sale for $19.95 I opt to get for my mom for Christmas and DD finds a braclet and earing set for $8.99. We go to the register and the purse cost me $4.88 and DD stuff cost nothing not even tax. Then the lady hands us back the two Coupons... I said your suppose to keep those, she says no they are good for the whole week. So again I say it says your suppose to keep them, and she says no see here good till 12/24 and again hands them back to me.... DS and DH come into the store as we are about to head out so I tell him and hand them the two coupons they then go in search for stocking stuffers for DD and myself.... The lady they checked out with marked through them and kept them... I knew that girl was suppose to take them but she refused the 3 times I gave them to her... :woot2: $40.00 worth of stuff for $4.88 .

I thought the coupons stated one time use. Am I wrong? (I couldn't get so lucky!) Great deal for those who did though!
  3. Here's just a few random tips to add to my BF list:

    1. Our big sale days are on Wednesdays and weekends. Even if you don't see it advertised, that's when you'll get our lowest prices of the week.

    2. Most stores are open until at least 11pm every day until after the holidays. Overnight work generally starts at 10pm. Thus, if you come in Tuesday and Thursday nights and see an ad set team setting signs with lower prices, just tell the cashier and we'll honor them.

    3. Quick Return Guide aka everything associates (or at least this one!) would like customers to know BEFORE returning an item.

    4. Through December, every Wednesday is a senior's day. Also, you'll get 15% just for applying for a Kohl's charge instead of our usual 10%.

I'm a department supervisor on the west coast, so I usually get the ads a couple weeks in advance. If you'd like me to keep an eye out for something, let me know. :) I can also handle specific Customer Service, Jewelry and Beauty questions.

    My best experience with Kohl's...

If you decide to return and have gotten a great sale price on an item (ex: $15.99 but the "regular" price is marked $44. They will let you do an even exchange for any item in the store as long as the regular marked prices are exact. Can get tricky...sometimes it is just 1 penny off. None-the-less, something to watch!)

Next, the clearance section online can have some great deals when the season changes. You have to watch it frequently, as many sizes get grabbed up. I was able to snatch a pr. of LEE capris for $7 (pd. $20 in the spring for them). Of course, you have to wait for great shipping deals, too.

  4. I am not sure if many of you order from them but I am posting this so you are aware of my horrible expereince before you place an order. I ordered several items from them back on 11/26 and was told everything was in stock and would ship in 5-7 days. Well, I got most of my items 2 weeks later except for one lonely blender that wasn't shipped. I waited a few days and sent several emails to the company with no response. TOo make a long story short. I have spoke to 12 different people including supervisors and the secretary to the CEO. I was always told someone would get back to me since the blender was in stock no could tell me why it never shipped. Well here it is another day I was told I would get a call and no phone call. SO I guess the only thing my mother wanted for Christmas is not coming and I need to battle a store tomorrow to find one. I just wanted you to beware since I was also told my credit card was charged for this even though it was not shipped. I have my CC company looking into it.

I was fortunate, too. All my orders have been delivered the next day (they pull from our local store) and it was free delivery, too.
  5. FYI for anyone waiting on the Santa Bucks coupons for Meijer. I called the 800 # for Meijer and they said they will be doing the Santa Bucks this year. They said to check the newspaper on Dec 12th and Dec 13th for the coupons.

I received mine in our local newspaper earlier this week. The sale here runs from 12/20-12/22 midnight. (Louisville, KY) I think these coupons were in a circular available in the store last year, too.

$6 off $29.97 any item and up

$10 off $49.97 any item and up

$12 off $59.97 any item and up

$14 off $69.97 any item and up

$16 off $79.97 any item and up

  6. I got the same phone the day after thanksgiving for $50!! It will be about $35 now

If you still have your receipt, return it and then rebuy. I do that if something goes on sale right after I buy it, etc.. Might be worth the trip. Or you can always by a 2nd item that is the same, but use the receipt of the higher price. Same difference...just no lugging around and boxing up items.
