^^^ I think that's why the heading of this thread is "dead." Amazon jacked up the price on this TV and I don't think it's possible to get it for the $1,279.99 price at this time.

OOooooh, thanks for the tip! There's a Boscov's 15 minutes from where I live, and handily, my parents will be in town for a visit this weekend with a pickup truck. Wow, just checked out the site, and it's actually $1,199!

I ordered one of these from Amazon last Saturday (11/25) for $1,279 (no free wall mount, though) and the original delivery estimate was 11/30 to 12/4. They didn't ship it on Monday as estimated, so I called them on Tuesday and they said that they wouldn't be receiving more until this Friday. Then later on Friday, I got an e-mail with this as the first paragraph: D'oh! They've now changed the shipping estimate to 12/4 and the delivery estimate to between 12/15 and 12/26. I can't wait to get this thing. Oh, and I also see the $1,349 price there. At least they didn't jack up the price as much as Circuit City did since the weekend - from $1,199 to $1,439.
