  1. I know when my firend was getting married several years ago, she went to a "wedding showcase" type thing and alot of vendors did give out discount cards for their services. Also, when I got married, I went to a local consignment shop that received "display models" of wedding products from a bridal boutique. They had great deals on brand new shoes, bridesmaid dresses, ring bearer pillows, etc. I got a beautiful wedding dress that retailed for over $2,500 (still had the boutique price tag on it) for just $75.00. As far as supplies for wedding favors, etc. Michaels craft store carries alot of wedding supplies at good prices. Plus, she could use the 40% off coupon that they usually have to get a higher priced item. Also, if she wants fresh flowers, our local grocery store does bridal arrangements on a special order basis at prices much lower then the local florists. I saw someone picking some up one day and they looked great.

Hope this helps and congrats to your friend!

  2. I love shopping at my local target, but hate buying from them online because of their shipping costs. I found the answer to Brandi's email saying that shipping costs "reflect the cost of assembling items and safely packaging each order" funny since the one time I did buy from them online (a hamper that matched my ds' nursery that they did not carry in store), the item had to be sent back twice since it was broken. Both times they put the hamper in a box with no packing material - no wonder it never made it to me in one piece! I finally gave up.
  3. I went this afternoon and got some gifts for next year. 1 hat, 1 pair of gloves, cute Pooh and Eeyore tall hot chocolate mugs (1 of each) and some Pooh and Tigger light up ornaments (1 each) all for $8.00. Thay also had a set of four Mickey Christmas mugs for $4.99 and several stockings and stocking holders. I didn't check the price on them since I didn't need them. Lots of other clearance things too. Thanks for the heads up!
  4. We hide ours in our bedroom closet. My boys are 4 years and 18 months, so they really don't snoop yet. Next year we will definately have to find a better hiding place.
