Hi! I can relate to your issue, because I had the same one. What worked for me was to put everything I needed in the shopping cart at both stores to see which would be the best price. Both offer free shipping. Since I had to pay sales tax at Dell and not at Overstock, Overstock worked best for me. At Overstock I added an additional wireless controller, a rechargeable battery controller pack, Gears of War Limited Edition game and a king size down comforter (you need a non-video game related item to qualify for the 12% savings coupon at Overstock). The total was $485 and shipping was free. I was notified yesterday it's on its way. :)
Same here! I think if you are in a state where you won't pay taxes then Dell may be slightly the better deal but for us folks that must pay taxes, Overstock is the way to go.
I would like to add that Overstock has already shipped my stuff out the next day while Dell's order (cancelled it then went to Overstock) I was going to wait until December 15th! No brainer for me, went with Overstock.

I actually cancelled my order and went with overstock.com, with the free shipping and no tax, I was able to save a bit plus get the confortor. I only need one controller since I will be the only person who plays it. I bought an extra controller for my PS2 and it's still in the box.

Wazzu, I agree and while I didn't get the extra controller (I basically am the only one who will be playing it) I saved a few bucks PLUS got the comforter. Used my Amex as well! My total bill (includes Scroll game as well) was 480.85.

I think in the Dell thread it's explained, I went ahead and e-mailed Dell asking them to cancel m order. I was able to get the same thing in Overstock PLUS the down comforter and Gears of War (limited instead of regular) and it came out a few bucks cheaper. Basically, got the upgrade in the game and a free comforter.
Hope Dell will honor the cancelled order!

that isn't correct, Dell offer is premium x box which includes a controller, headset, etc.
-
well, I was afraid this deal would disapear so I went ahead and ordered it w/o an extra controller. Can't change the order since it was accepted.

how's the range on this bad boy? I have a two story and my belkin pretty much blows when I am on the second floor (router on 1st).

The customer support person was not familar with what is included in the premium package then.
Premium Contains:
Console with Premium Chrome Finish
Hard Drive
Wireless Controller
Xbox Live Headset
Component HD AV Cable
Ethernet Cable
Core System Contains:
Console
Wired Controller
Composite AV Cable
They sold the premium package and you had the "option" of getting additional items to that. Hope this clears things up.

so, if you uncheck all options you will get what's mentioned above? Any reason not to get an extra wireless controller?
-
would you get some of the games in here as well with the % off ? Thinking about getting GOW and Scrolls
-
Same here, does it come with a wireless controller? Also, what do you recommend adding to this as well as games? (Gears of War is a must)

I got the coupon to work today, so currently the BEST deal is to print out the CC on-line check out sheet then go to Sears and they should give you the difference (1299.99 - 1799.99) which is $50? I don't see how they will allow the 10% coupon off from the CC link but will try.
Finally, what's this 10% Sears coupon and 18 month interest free info? Thanks!
