I didn't get to the Polaris area last night until about 7pm and I couldn't believe how much the parking lot was packed. The spots were full, so people were parked all over the place. I still managed to get a great spot, only to find out the whole thing about only cash, check, or amex when I got in line inside. Didn't have any of these nor do I know the pin to my debit card, so I just picked up an application. I knew they would probably still let me in, but it looked like a madhouse and I had other shopping to do. I'll probably go back next week during a weekday when it's less busy. I am hosting my family Christmas party so I am excited to get the $30 to spend on some appetizers. You do get the $30 in GCs right after you sign up, right?

Thanks for all the info.. I was wondering how much the membership was. If you can get the $20 or $30GC, that's not too bad a deal. I am actually in Apple Valley, but we are in Mt. Vernon all the time to shop and eat. It's a nice, quiet area to live. mpauley5: Let us know and thanks for checking.

I got one of these for my ds for $60 a few months back when they were clearanced plus they had another 25% off and I thought I got a deal. $30 is amazing. We looked on-line after we got it and some sites sell these for up to $600. I know at the same time they were also clearancing the fire truck version, so it may be out there still too. My ds is only one...lol...so we have a while until we will use it, but I just couldn't pass it up.

Do you know if you have to have the form you got to get the $20 or will it apply to everyone? We live outside Mt. Vernon, but go to the Polaris area a lot and I've been waiting for it to open. My MIL loves Costco and I've always wished we had one around here. It is open now?
