  1. Wow, I never thought about it til now, but you’re right! I like that too! I have a large tungsten carbide ring that I wear on my left thumb, and for some reason having it on and the weight of it around my thumb makes me feel better somehow. There really is some science behind this stuff. It all reminds me of when I first heard about the thunder shirt for dogs; it comforts them during storms and stuff I think. I didn’t understand how that could have helped but I do now.

Yes! They made the Thunder Shirt for dogs after they noticed the weighted blankets helping kids with autism!

  2. This is my first time seeing this item mentioned anywhere. What exactly is the purpose of a weighted blanket?

Good question. Weighted blankets were developed to help kids with autism who need more input through their senses to calm down. Some people are finding it calms typical adults down. For reference, for adults weighted blankets should be10% of body weight +around 1-2 lbs. I wouldn't recommend buying one for children unless an Occupational Therapist evaluates them. Heavy blankets can weigh a child down and that can be dangerous if they can't turn at night.

  3. It would be a great idea if we could somehow manually put a check on the logos of the businesses of the ads we've reviewed. For example, say I am working on my list and I see I didn't need anything from JC Penney. I could manually check off that I've looked at it so I don't keep opening it and remember I went through it on page 23. Also, it would even be helpful to have checked ones we went through and put items on our list so that we don't keep opening that ad.

I hope that makes sense. I'm very sleepy!

  4. I'm on a really tight budget but I need an area rug. We really don't have too many stores around here. I can drive 90 miles to an IKEA. There is a Home Goods about 45 minutes away. I have the typical chain stores: Walmart, Target, Home Depot. Is it possible to get a good deal on area rugs anywhere? Possibly a store I'm not thinking of? I need the biggest size so I know it will probably be about $200 but I wouldn't mind spending less if possible.
  5. I think target may have had a toy register on clearance section when I went yesterday not sure on price since I don't have any use for it. Office Depot has the slim board markers for .64 a pack of 4 or 5 but didn't see any displays for regular markers

Thanks I'll check out Target tomorrow. And I needed some slim board markers too so I'll stop by there also!

  6. I got a little funding from my school, but teachers have to buy a lot out of their own pockets so I'm trying to stretch it as far as I can. I'm looking for a cheap toy cash register and the best price on markers. I realize August is the best time to buy markers, but I didn't think I'd need them then.

Do you think if I waited til Christmas there will be a better price?
