My late mom used to do an origami-like thing for my kids. Flowers, stars, one kid got a toilet, all made from money. Sadly, I did not inherit her talent.

http://www.amazon.com/MeMOPad-HD-7-Inch-Blue-ME173X-A1-BL/dp/B00E0EY7Z6/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top Opinions? I'm pretty clueless when it comes to tabs. It would be for my kids to watch videos (YouTube and Netflix), probably a small amount of game playing. I'm a single mom to five, and can't really afford to spend money for something that ends up a paper weight!

I have been Black Friday shopping since my oldest daughters first Christmas. She's seventeen now and I have four more kids (ages 10, 9, 6, and 3). I'm in Kingsport, Tennessee and REALLY need some good deals this year!

Finding the very best deal that I can on things that my kids want. I'm a newly single mom to five, and Black Friday is the reason my kids even get anything!

Crap! I've moved! And I know that my ex will never give it to me

What city will you be shopping in this year on Black Friday?

I'm so glad that you are feeling better! I hope you continue to rest and take care of yourself!

I love the spirit! Most people are really nice, and there is such a feeling of the holidays! I love the planning, the lists, and, of course, getting a great deal!!! I am a single mom of five, so I need to save as much as possible or they don't get anything for Christmas! LOL

Oh! I'd love a grocery bag! And the magnetic chip clip! I have five kids, and my fridge door is full of papers that I need these clips for! :) I'll be looking for this!!!

Went out to get it at 5:30 and they were almost gone! ETA It's missing the Kohl's ad.

So you come to a message board dedicated to those who enjoy BF and the deals to be had there for what reason? Looks to me like the reason is a pathetic attempt to make yourself feel better about being such a wanker that you have to insult others. I wonder if you are aware of how many people are laughing at you? I'd wait in line for several days for some anti-troll spray so that I could hose you down with it. Geesh, just go away!

Back at 'ya! Hope everyone has a wonderful Turkey Day!

Kind of giving a different perspective here, but I considered signing my kids up for the angel tree this year. My husband and I are both on unemployment (with mine about to run out), and that doesn't go far (less than $300 each per week) when you have five kids (plus his two adult children). We went from upper-middle class to this in the matter of a month. I just couldn't do it. Anyway, it's hard for your kid to ask for something that "everyone" has (like my kids and the dsi or psp or ipad), and know that you will really struggle to give it to him/her, if you can at all. Some of the parents might put that more expensive stuff on there, hoping someone will, in fact, be able to get this item for their child and they won't have to see that look of disappointment Christmas morning. I know that my kids don't NEED this stuff, and thank goodness my mom had been saving some money so that she could get them a few nicer things, and this situation has been a real adjustment (and a learning experience) for my children. Character-building LOL. Them seeing me obsessively cut coupons, price compare, stalk this site like crazy, etc. has taught them a lot about life, I think. Nonetheless, even if they understand, even if they are trying to help by NOT asking for the more expensive stuff, or like my 15-year old daughter, who stopped eating lunch to save money, they still want these things, and it is hard not to even have the option to give it to them. So while some of them (especially the infants with ipads on their list!) are just trying to cash in for themselves, I can't bring myself to believe that a majority are. But I could be wrong! LOL

Does anyone know if buy.com takes debit card? I don't have a credit card, but do have a check card.

What store will you no way/no how shop at on Black Friday??
karalot replied to Danascraps's topic in 2010
Toys R Us, Best Buy, and Walmart. I really wanted the Nook at Best Buy, but sucked it up and ordered a re-manufactured one from B&N's eBay store instead (at $20 more than BB's BF price). I just don't have it in me to go there, and I would have to go early. I can't do that when I'm going to have 20 people at my house for Turkey Day! :) -
My 15 year old daugher stalks this site almost as much as I do. We haven't won a shirt but I know that next year will be our year!!
-
Gosh, now I love you more!!

Does BB let you price adjust? Could I buy the Nook, then go in during the doorbusters hours and price adjust or return/re-purchase?
