  1. No, actually, Deal Discussion is for the discussion of an *EXISTING* deal. This thread should be in the DEAL FINDER SERVICE section. That's where I'm going to move it to. Oh, and here is Geeks.com's post-SuperBowl deals on TVs: http://www.geeks.com/pix/2008/GOBIG.html
  2. Actually, it's video files that would fill an 80GB Classic quickly...
  3. That wasn't the incredible deal that it sounds like though... As I recall, Sirius would only change your radio ID twice beyond the first unit. So, it was an offer for the "lifetime" of three Sirius radio units. They don't even offer that deal anymore.
  4. Without a monetary deposit or full-payment, I can't see how the first responder could expect you to hold it past the deadline she agreed upon.
  5. For my review of the C220, go here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=87388 (posts #1 and post #2)
  6. Page removed from Dell's web site.
  7. Can you talk to my wife? Just trade the flowers for creme brulee (Holy Cow, I love that stuff) and the Hemmings Motor News for some computer magazines. Lots of guys would like gift certificates for car washes and/or auto reconditioning, especially if that's one of their chores around the house. If your man likes beer, this is the Champagne of (full-bodied or dark) beers: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/b3/Chimays.jpg/800px-Chimays.jpg It's expensive, but OMG is it good... I've had the Chimay Rouge (the red label) and the Chimay Bleue (the blue label) -- I prefer the Bleue, but the Rouge is good too. You may need to order it special from your beer outlet of choice (most places will do that at no extra charge), but Chimay is so worth it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chimay_Brewery Depending on your spending limit, I think that my TomTom GPS Unit was the best money I ever spent. I have an iPod Shuffle MP3 player I like a lot, but if it died, I'd replace it with a Sansa Clip in a heartbeat. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8553834&st=clip+mp3&type=product&id=1188561248598
  8. I don't know, I suppose Brad will put in a link at some point...
  9. Did you click on the link?
  10. Donning my Mod hat -- Folks, do not discuss ripping MP3s from CDs you don't own. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Jobs/thmug.gif
  11. Whoops... I meant to make the image clickable. Sugar&Spice -- yes, you can use rechargable AA batteries. That's what I use in my Z740 (Kodak). I must say that I'm not thrilled with the macro setting's focus, but otherwise it's been a fine camera. Also, if sposhek is using rechargables already, they have a definite number of times that they can be recharged before their charge goes downhill.
  12. To find out your IP, simply go to http://www.whatismyip.com or http://whatismyipaddress.com (in your case, you'll need to do it from your home computer). The xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx number is what Brad needs.
  13. I've been a subscriber to YourMusic.com for over two years. It's a great deal pricewise -- they can be a little lacking in having the absolute latest music or having more obscure artists, but there's always half.com for the far-out stuff. The CDs are shipped free!
  14. http://i30.tinypic.com/2e3tys5.jpg Compare to this at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Kodak-EasyShare-Digital-Optical-Stabilized/dp/B000NOQVQK Amazon has it for $190.75 but no free SD card and shipping is extra. Link: http://www.geeks.com/pix/2008/KODAKDEAL.html?AID=10439518&CJPID=1412508
  15. I have a Lite-On DVD recorder. Nothing fancy, but it works.
  16. I'll probably continue using my photobucket.com account, but are these images limited to be viewed by those who are registered members of Gottadeal, or can non-members (and/or Google images) see the images too?
  17. If you bought it with Windows XP then you really wouldn't need to upgrade to 2GB of Ram -- you should be fine with 1 GB...
  18. Welcome to the forum, craz4u3! Windows Vista is a total resource hog. You can "try" it at 1GB and add later if you like. It will be cheaper to install your own RAM anyway. About $42 for 2GB vs. Dell's fee of $100. However, if you are even remotely a power user (for instance, ripping music from a CD while browsing the Internet), then both limitations of the Sempron processor and the limitations of 1GB RAM are going to leave you feeling underwhelmed. Sempron and its Intel counterpart, Celeron, processors are fine for doing one task at one time, just surfing the internet or just writing e-mail, or just listening to music, etc. I wouldn't even try to edit photographs, edit video, record a DVD, or play "installed" games (such as Sims) on a Sempron or Celeron. That dual-core Athlon for $70 additional would go a long way towards overall owner satisfaction.
  19. Newegg occasionally offers 12-months-same-as-cash through Bill Me Later (currently, the deal is only for 3 months) Here are a few places that are offering 6-months-same-as-cash through Bill Me Later: http://shopping.billmelater.com/offers/6months.html Fujitsu makes nice laptops, best known for the 14.1" size and SMALLER. CyberPower offers plenty of "cutting edge" laptops. JR Music & Computer World and PC Universe have laptops... I bought my HP laptop directly from HP.com with 6-months-same-as-cash. I've been sending them payments anyway, I owe them $160.00 before March. They still have this offer going too.
  20. I think 24 months on computers over $1,000 is the most BB ever offers.
  21. http://www.littlegenealogy.com/memory_images/washboard.gif Yup! As I understand it, they take in castoffs as side projects, fix 'em up and resell. Prices will probably be in the $50-$75 range, and they can probably deliver and haul-away.
  22. You can always set your account to subscribe you to the threads you reply to. Then they'll appear in your control panel. Go here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/profile.php?do=editoptions (The option is called "Default Thread Subscription Mode" but set it to "no e-mail notification")
  23. In 2003, when I bought our new one, I found Lowe's to have the best price/performance ratio. We bought a Frigidaire dishwasher to replace the GE that came with the house. I installed it myself (it comes with instructions). If there was one there already, and you can turn a screwdriver (and a pair of pliers), you can do it yourself. The instructions in the box will have diagrams and be more specific, but this should give you the general idea: http://www.doityourself.com/stry/replacedishwasher.
  24. Go here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=44069 http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Bananas/thtumbling-carrot.gif I think that is another GottaDealer's cat. I can't remember who and I didn't add the text, it was like that already. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Mil-Animals-Cats/cathug2.gif
  25. What's wrong with a 32" tv set in the bedroom? http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Yes/th4eec30cd.gif
