i just bought some about 2 weeks ago. about 140 for a 6 month supply plus the 80 for the exam. i wish i still had optic insurance

OEM does have a COA (cert of auth) thats what says you actualy own a copy of XP the disc doesn't matter and your better off makeing a slipstream cd anyway, what it doesn't have is a nice box and rarely does it have a booklet. sometimes it won'teven have the Media, it's just the key. from the sound of it what your friend had was pirated or he just lost the COA sticker. the guy i get these from charges...

cheepest i've seen is DeepDiscount at 41.88 with free shipping. Overstock is about a buck more after shipping as is Amazon. normaly i'd say hold out until deepdiscount does another 20%off coupon but it's getting too late in the game to wait much longer.

you also might be able to get a Canon A75 for around 175 or the SD110 over at amazon for 199 which is a nice deal on a realy great little cam. if size is as big of a deal as it is for me i'd spend the extra money on the compact, it will greatly increase the chances of the camera getting used.

man prices for The West Wing end up 34.55 a season. Aaque Teen is like 18 bucks. wish i had some cash to blow, maybe next time.

i'd avoid the first one AgaBoogaBoo posted since it's a 2.5" drive and your going to pay alot more for one of those over a 3.5". so unless size is critical save yourself the money.

if you already have an XP install disc you can just buy COA's for $25. your better off not useing the original CD anyway just install with a slipstream cd

ya i looked around a little, it's looking like the cheapest way to get this done is to buy a vehicle (truck,wagon,van) and sell off what doesn't fit. i can sell off the car when i get down if it's not one i want for a daily driver and hopefully lose little if any money. that will be the plan unless i can find a way of doing it for 300-400.

RossMAN do you know what comercial shippers we have in the Portland area? not looking forward to a crash course in driviing then driveing 1000 miles in a pick-up with a trailer hooked to it.

with anandtech,craigslist, and ebay i can buy or sell just about anything, if GottaDeal got realy huge it could replace my need for Anandtech FS/FT though.

i need to move from Portland Oregon down to San Diego California. i don't have a car or a drivers liscense. i'm single and i have a one bedroom apartment but all the furniture will be staying. whats the cheapest way to do this? i'm assumeing that i'll need to get my liacense but i'm 24 so it's about time anyway.
- rent a u-haul 1 way for $1,500 or so plus gas
- buy a cheap pick-up and rent a uhaul trailer for $175 and gas
- moveing company of some sort?
