OEM does have a COA (cert of auth) thats what says you actualy own a copy of XP the disc doesn't matter and your better off makeing a slipstream cd anyway, what it doesn't have is a nice box and rarely does it have a booklet. sometimes it won'teven have the Media, it's just the key. from the sound of it what your friend had was pirated or he just lost the COA sticker. the guy i get these from charges...

  2. ya i looked around a little, it's looking like the cheapest way to get this done is to buy a vehicle (truck,wagon,van) and sell off what doesn't fit. i can sell off the car when i get down if it's not one i want for a daily driver and hopefully lose little if any money. that will be the plan unless i can find a way of doing it for 300-400.
  3. i need to move from Portland Oregon down to San Diego California. i don't have a car or a drivers liscense. i'm single and i have a one bedroom apartment but all the furniture will be staying. whats the cheapest way to do this? i'm assumeing that i'll need to get my liacense but i'm 24 so it's about time anyway.

     

    - rent a u-haul 1 way for $1,500 or so plus gas

    - buy a cheap pick-up and rent a uhaul trailer for $175 and gas

    - moveing company of some sort?
