OEM does have a COA (cert of auth) thats what says you actualy own a copy of XP the disc doesn't matter and your better off makeing a slipstream cd anyway, what it doesn't have is a nice box and rarely does it have a booklet. sometimes it won'teven have the Media, it's just the key. from the sound of it what your friend had was pirated or he just lost the COA sticker. the guy i get these from charges... 2000 Pro - $20 XP Home - $25 XP Pro - $55 http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=2389 he's a great guy that i've dealt with a number of times.

cheepest i've seen is DeepDiscount at 41.88 with free shipping. Overstock is about a buck more after shipping as is Amazon. normaly i'd say hold out until deepdiscount does another 20%off coupon but it's getting too late in the game to wait much longer.

you also might be able to get a Canon A75 for around 175 or the SD110 over at amazon for 199 which is a nice deal on a realy great little cam. if size is as big of a deal as it is for me i'd spend the extra money on the compact, it will greatly increase the chances of the camera getting used.

i'd avoid the first one AgaBoogaBoo posted since it's a 2.5" drive and your going to pay alot more for one of those over a 3.5". so unless size is critical save yourself the money. -edit nevermind the smoke from my crack pipe made that 3 look like a 2. keep it moveing

the one on the front page looks like a great deal to me. but i haven't seen alot of deals on externals recently so i don't know whats good and whats not.
