  1. Same one that I just bought for $419 and without triple rewards

anybody know offhand if they will price adjust for a previous sale (a week ago)?

Sorry, I didn't see the post above, I didn't have to go in, I called and they will credit my credit card $21.65 including tax :)

And for what I use it for it has been great!! I can sit on the deck and go online while my children swim. I bring it with and type letters when I sit there during my kids to their classes/camps/lessons. I love it!

And I will look for some RAM for it on BF.

I got this laptop too and like it. The box had a 10% accessories coupon. It was around $50 for 2 GB RAM - BB had it on sale. I could have gotten a better deal on the RAM, I just couldn't wait.

Thank you RossMAN for the new price information. :)

  2. I am considering the mystery shopping world. I've read a couple of threads on the site so far I still can't figure out if Shadow Shoppers is a good company. Some how I got on their email list. I have been receiving emails from to join. Thoughts???

I've read alot of mixed reviews about Shadow Shoppers - the deciding factor for me was the nonrefundable yearly fee. There is no gurantee that paying it will get better mystery shopping assignments.

  3. She may not have actually spent $400 - she could have gotten it as a gift, on clearance or won in a raffle. Personally, I would give a fruit basket with some cookies or a basket with her favorite candy if she has one. Does she drink tea or coffee at a certain place, they might have a basket of their products you could purchase.
  4. Pirates Of The Caribbean: At Worlds End

    1 disc

    Circuit City - $13.99

    Amazon, Best Buy & Target - $14.99

    2 disc

    Amazon & Best Buy - $22.99

    Circuit City & Target - $24.99

    In store purchase bonus:

    Best Buy – bonus disc

    Circuit City – Visual Guide

Target - movie cash for National Treasure 2

Toys R US -a free wall clock, the website lists $29.99 for 2 disc or $24.99 for 1 disc.

Kmart has a free flag but the dvds are not in the search listings at the moment.

  5. Overall, I had no trouble with my price adjustment. I'd rate the overall experience a 95/100. LOL. I was not shopping at my local Target, so I felt a little out of sorts with one of the adjustments. I bought the Night at the Museum DVD on Wednesday for $19.98 and used a $5 off coupon from the toy book, bringing the cost down to $14.98. On Friday, the DVD was on sale for $9.98 but the customer service rep would only adjust it back to $14.98, and then the coupon took off the $5, so the price I paid was $9.98.

It shouldn't matter that I used a coupon to pay for the DVD. The adjusted price should have been $9.98. That's what the ad said. It should make no difference that "my" cost was $4.98, right?

The coupon expired on Nov 21st. Some Targets do not take expired coupons. If you had been returning the dvd, you would have only gotten $14.98 back. The cashier was correct about the system not allowing it to be adjusted to full price.

  6. My sister, Mom and I got to Kohl's by 4am and the parking lot was full...everyone must have made them the first stop. It was nuts and the line for check out was 1 and a half hour wait!! It was sure fun though!!

My 2 hours and 45 minutes to check out was worth it also-

I got the Bella Kitchen rotating Belgian wafflemaker for $29.99 - it is $69.99, Bella Kitchen 4-in-1 Grill griddle for $39.99 after $10.00 mail in rebate - regularly $119.99 - bonus $20 Kohl's cash for these items, 2 pillows, a fleece blanket, fuzzy socks and 4 foot care items. I still managed to get all my items from Target too.

  7. I've been thru the ads and thru them, and thru them again and I can't decide what to do.

KMart has a Martha Stewart tree on sale on Thanksgiving Day for $99.99 and Sears has on in their ad for BF for the same amount. Both are 7 1/2 ft. tall, have 800 lights, and rotating stands. The one at KMart is marked to have 1093 branch tips, while the one at Sears isn't stated.

These stores are an hour away and I would rather not go both days. Is anyone familiar with either of these trees? Do you have any recommendations and/or any advice you could offer?

I guess I'll wait till Friday if no one responds, but I truly have no idea which might be the better tree. I'm so tired of real trees; and hanging lights, that I NEED an artificial one this year (though kids don't want a fake one - tough, T - U - F - F -as my mother always said to me. LOL).

Thanks for any help you might offer.

Sears website says the Madison pine in their ad has 2,487 branch tips. I would pick Sears.

  8. Another person posted in a different forum about the dvd player. They were told yesterday -11/19- that would be an instant rebate instead of what is printed in the ad and on the website. Can you confirm if they changed to an instant rebate or if it's still the prepaid Visa offer by mail rebate, please. Thank you.

I checked with the store yesterday, and it includes the DVD player. Also the rebate will be instant $$$ off.

"$49.99 after redemption of Visa PrePaid Card offer via mail" is the exact wording on both the Kohls BF ad and website. Interesting you were told it is an instant.

  10. Friend of mine at work says that she saw a sale going on that they have buy 1 get one free on DVD's for BF, but I don't see anything in the paper. Any idea about this, and what movies they will have?

It's buy two dvds, get one free. The ad is on their website and dated for Sunday November 18th - Tuesday November 20th. The last time I looked at my Kohls - they had older releases like Forrest Gump, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Charlotte's Web and The Notebook.

The Black Friday ad says selected styles. Target had The Notebook for $3.98 last year, and it is going to be the same price this year.

  11. Kohl's will have one for $49.99. Looks like the same one we bought last year. Comes with carrying case. Ours is still going strong.

It's $79.99 with a mail in rebate for a $30 prepaid Visa card that comes 6 to 12 weeks later.

  12. Ok hopefully someone can help. My DH mentioned while we were fixing something in the house, that he would have been able to do it easier if he had a gearwrench ratchet? The space where is wrench was going to very small.

He said they were pretty expensive? Can someone tell me what the heck is talking about!?

I was hoping to find it for xmas. I searched on amazon and found to many different tools. And i dont know what makes one better than the other.

    Thanks!

Gearwrench has a stubby set - Does he want SAE or Metric? Sears has an 8 piece stubby set for $59.99 regular price. They have some some other sets to choose from.

  13. The cheapest one I have found so far is at Kohls for 49.99 7" Portable DVD Player

The Kohl's one isn't a bad deal if you don't mind waiting 6 to 12 weeks for the $30 prepaid Visa card. At the $79.99 price, and $20.01 more merchandise - you'd get $20 in Kohl's Holiday cash, since they are doing the $10 for every $50 spent. The Kohl's Holiday cash is redeemable Sunday November 25th - Saturday December 1st.

  14. 4am - Kohls which is in the same plaza as Target, opens at 6am. If I make it out of Kohls in enough time, I might go to the other Target that is in a plaza with Radio Shack. ChickFilA as soon as they serve lunch - free sandwich coupon.
  15. hello all, i have a question about the portable 7" dvd player kit. The add says 49.99 and then right beside it ..it says after visa prepaid card. I tried to read the fine print on the bottom of the flyer. However, it's missing a side. My question is. "if anyone knows" you pay 79.99 and get the dvd player plus the visa prepaid card right there so you can use it immediately. Or is this perhaps a dragged out for months mail in kind of rebate. I would really appreciate it if anyone may have an answer. I don't want to end up at Kohl's at 3 in the morning if that's the case. I'd rather go to a store that opened at 5 or 6 with a deal i can get right there without having to go through the crappy rebate thing.

    thanks so much

    tiki

The wording under the bottom of the dvd player in the ad says its a Visa Prepaid card by mail.

  16. If I remember right, the sales clerk told me you get at least 12 coupons / one a month for being a card holder.

In my area they have done the $10 for $50 spent for the last two Black Fridays. And you don't have to be a card holder for those, the $10 certificates are only valid for a limited time - at the store I went to, it has the date it can be used on it.

Around the start of the school, they mailed $10 gift cards out. If you do alot of shopping at Kohl's and can get the card, it's worth it.
