I saw the Reynolds Wrap, Gladware, paper towels etc at my Target this morning, all 50% off. They were along a long wall near the decorations, with all the holiday themed candies/cookies/food gift sets. The only 'decorations' I got were stocking hangers for 50% off, I have been wanting them and there weren't many there, so I decided not to wait for them to drop to 75%.

The rebate DID change....I don't know if they messed up or what, but when I printed the rebate form from Buy.com, it said $20 on it. I just received my Tunebase yesterday (it works GREAT!), and went on to rebateshq.com to print out my rebate form, and now it says $30 rebate for the same product. I'll take it!! :-)

I've been a runner for 15 years and the one thing I've noticed most beginning runners don't have are shirts/shorts in technical fabrics. Anything that says "Coolmax" or "wicking" type of fabric is what you want. You can find off-brand styles that look great for $20 or so at your local sporting goods store. They make a huge difference in how comfortable it is to run. Also, some good running socks in the same fabrics. Plain cotton socks foster blisters. I hope she sticks with running - it's such fun! :)

I think a nice note of appreciation along with a great photo of your son would be nice. I know an OB, and she especially loves seeing pictures of the babies she delivers, especially if it was a patient she spent a lot of time with in prenatal.

The most recent Bed Bath & Beyond coupon I received is for 20% off and does not specifically mention Dyson as one of the exluded brands. I'm thinking of using it to buy a Dyson Animal vac....but that's still a lot of money to spend on a vac so I'm still in "consider" mode.

I think a GC to a hotel is a good idea! What about scratch-off lottery tickets? Or design a calendar with pictures from your 20 years together (you can do it for a good price at places like snapfish.com, etc)?

What's your $$ limit?? One of the most memorable gifts I got my boyfriend was a weekend away from the city. Just one night in a cabin up on the mountain, breakfast the next day, and hiking around in the snow together before heading home. I made all the reservations before Christmas, and then decorated a card with pictures to give him an idea of where we were going....trees, snowflakes, sleds, a cabin, etc. When he gave me a puzzled look while reading the card I told him what the 'real' gift was, and he was thrilled. He still mentions it as his favorite Christmas gift. :)

When I was that age, I was all over: Babysitter's Club (VERY fun) Sweet Valley High Anne of Green Gables/Anne of Avonlea & follow-on books (Not "Comedy" but Anne is VERY funny in her early years. :))

I second the suggestion for lottery scratch-offs. Those are always a big hit with my dad and he's difficult to buy for as well. Also, my dad loves car magazines but is too cheap to subscribe, so sometimes I'll buy a subscription to one that I've seen laying around the house more than once. Good luck!
