    Thanks :D

  2. Am going to rent a car to go pick up my mother in Colorado, have plugged in a couple of discount codes into Avis' reservation system, with no significant discount (except the economy & mid size rates seem to double)

Any suggestions? I need a Mid/Full size for 2 days...

Needs to be Avis since they're the closest.

  3. Well...

They found the info, but took forever, I got frustrated after 45 minutes, they sent me to the food court on the house...

Came back & watched the CSR key in the store credit incorrectly 1/2 dozen times, then her supervisor, finally lost it after another 1/2 hour & told them how much my time was worth & that I was unhappy...

They gave me a full cash refund for a 30" 2 year old LCD TV, Woot :D

  4. Evidently these are new to the market, glow, and have the same sound as the movie light sabers.

  5. Depends on your preferences, but...

Appliances last 10-20 years, so I've gotten more picky and if I can't afford something pretty nice new, I buy used till I can afford exactly what I want.

Appliances used go for pennies on the dollar of the new price, plus you don't have to go into debit hopefully. Or if you do go into debit for used appliances, it's for much less money than new stuff.

    Craigslist? Local paper?

Also, if you're buying new, here's a link to a site that lists appliances on sale, bottom right side of the page after you click on the state you live in: http://www.salescircular.com

  6. Whats a girl to do???? He wants an MP3 player, at first I couldnt afford one, now there are too many choices! lol. I'm gonna have to look into this one. DD, do you know this is better from experience, or the specs?

Apple stuff tends to be overpriced, but heavily marketed, MP3 players have been around a long time, but Apple made them much more visible to the public.

DigDoug's suggestion is a better MP3 player IMHO. (If you can get over the IPOD hype)
