My family and I are taking a vacation next week and will be on a long plane ride across country with a layover. I have a toddler and a 7 year old, so I'm looking to buy a low-end dvd player to help keep them busy on the plane.

I'm currently looking at these two at Walmart.com:

Plus I saw a couple in great condition on ebay. But I'm not sure if it I can get them before next Friday.

Any other deals out there? :)

Adam,

First, here are some options at Best Buy and Circuit City (who has 10% off most of their models right now). You can always order online and do in-store pickup if you have these stores nearby:

http://www.circuitci...3&oid=90031&m=0

Here are some at Amazon that are good. I'd say that if they show as shipping with 24 hours you should have no problems getting them within a week, and if you order and by Monday they haven't shipped, just cancel and pick one up at a local store:

Also, if you have a Sam's Club membership, at least around here they are clearancing a lot of their portable DVD players with some nice prices.

Maybe someone can give you some better options. The thing about the portable DVD players is that you can pay $140-150 for a cheap 5" model, or pay $50 more and get a 7" screen from a better manufacturer with more accessories. For example, this is a really great deal - $199 shipped after rebate plus a $50 Amazon gift certificate, so really a net cost of $150 for a 7" model with a ton of accessories.

Adam,

I'm not sure if you're still looking for a portable DVD Player or not but here's one for $99 :)
