I think the general feeling is that it is an average device. Although the price has dropped significantly since it first came out.

If you want something better, look into the Roku Soundbridge. I was able to pick one up (M1000 model) at Best Buy for $149 a few months ago, but it's still sitting in the box cause I haven't had time to play with it yet.

I know that feeling all to well ... still have 2 brand new printers, 2 DVD Burners, an external CD Burner, 1 hard drive, 1 Dell PowerEdge 400SC server, and many more ... sitting there waiting to be opened.

Don't you have one of these already...? If not you, I swear someone has something like this already...

hehe... no, that isn't me.

I had a HTPC that I used for a while, but it was ghetto... I assimilated it in to other systems on my network.

I'm looking for a simple stand alone unit for now. I will get a nice HTPC or Tivo/Replay-TV when I get back to the states. We will have to see.

Hmmm... I'll have to find who that is. I swear it was in one of these threads...

Same thing happened to my so-called "HTPC". When are you coming back here anyways? Is it IN or PA?
