nickysmom Posted December 12, 2007 Share Posted December 12, 2007 My nephews are 12 and 16 and I was going to buy them a MP3 player and then a visa gift card but when we were looking at ads there mom kept saying stuff like That dsn't have enough memory or it wasn't the right brand. Anyway it made me mad so I decided to just buy what I wanted to give them and if they are ungrateful brats this will be the last year I will buy for them I will let my dh buy next time since their mom is his sister. My son is 13 and my mom got him a $50 GC to Gamestop and $100 cash. hes also getting $100 cash from my grandparents and a $25 GC to Walmart from my Mother-in-law. Thats what he asked for... My oldest DS is 12, and he's getting to be sooo hard to buy for, that its frustrating. And its hard to be honest with family that want to buy for him, cuz everyone is on a tight budget these days, so I cant really expect them to get him what he REALLY wants, he's got expensive taste. So when I try and help them out with things to buy him, it comes off a little harsh. Not that I'm that way, its just he's difficult to buy for. So just take what she said with a grain of salt, I think she was just trying to save the boys acting disappointed when they opened the gifts in front of you and having bad feelings all around. :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That is what everyone has and it is cool, especially the new ipod touch. Short of that the other choice is the Zune. Just be sure not to get the brown one. They are not as beloved as the ipod, but the bigger screen (bigger than the non-touch ipods) and the wifi music sharing make up for it somewhat. You can find the Zunes pretty cheap if you look around - unfortunately you missed the woot.com sale. I got these for my kids (15 and 11) and they love them. Good Luck!
