Hi there,

My name is MysticMage and most of you may know me from my other thread 'FAQs Regarding Target'. Regarding my thread I had gone over a method of buying an item before the sale known as 'price adjustments'. This will allow you to buy an item before the sale and on Black Friday or the Saturday following, you will be able to get the adjustment.

Today I had went to Target after I had finished shopping at several other stores. I got lucky and got a ton of good stuff at Best Buy (including the 22" Samsung Screen) by coming in a 8AM on Black Friday:eyepoppin. Moreover, not too many people knew about my local Wal Mart therefore it was just like normal shopping at a Super Wal Mart which was not bad at all and I was able to get everything I wanted and more in less then 25 minutes. At Home Depot I got in and there was no one, and the kind manager offered coffee and some light breakfast items at the door and I was able to grab 4 shop vacs for $90 and some tools and gifts. Then after I went to a lot more stores and got other stuff before I went to Target around 9:30. Regardless, and back on topic, I had went to Target and got my adjustments with no issues at all. The people at the desk were very nice and I was in and out in less then five minutes.

I am very curious how others did with these adjustments. Therefore, I had made a poll in which in which you can pick if your adjustment was successful or not. Moreover, you may also post your issues or the lack of issues you had with Target.

Happy Black Friday everyone! :)

I'm very glad everyone who has posted so far had got the price adjustment other then just one person. Even though one person had an issue, they still did get it.

I was refused a PM on the same Olevia 37" LCD that I bought earlier in the week - they claimed corporate told them not to.....gonna try some other Targets

Make sure you say price adjustment. Target does not do price matching and if you say that you are there for a price match, they will tell you no. If you ask for an adjustment, then they should give it to you, if not, call the district manager.

I went on Wednesday and got several Wii games and the Digital Photo Frame. Absolutely no problem with the price adjusting. It was great. I got $99 back. I went and got a couple of sheet sets and the line was horrendous. So I went up to customer service and they checked me right out!!! In and out in about 10 minutes!

:shock:I had no issues at all. Earlier in the week they said absolutely no adjustments. I took the ad, and the email from corporate and the guy behind the counter didn't even flinch when I said a I needed a price adjustment. We had no issues at all, I was really shocked!

Had no problem whatsoever. In and out of Target today in 30 seconds with my price adjustment on the 37" Olevia TV (which my parents love - great picture).

Walked up to the counter, gave the girl my receipt, she nodded (as if she had been doing a few times, lol) and said, "You got the Olevia 37 and want the price adjustment to $549 right?" She scanned the receipt, pushed a couple of buttons - voila. But as you can read my post in the Olevia 37" thread, it depends on the Target. The High Point, NC Target was horrible. The Kernersville Target - a breeze. I opened a Target credit account and had gotten 10% off too - I got to keep the 10% off for the price adjustment too :) - so I got the TV for $500.

The original Target I went to on Wednesday (High Point) had given me a hard time. I even had to listen to a lecture no how "well, sir, even if we did price adjustments like that, it is not fair to all the people who stand in line on Black Friday to get the TV. It is first come first serve and why would they even have a Black Friday sale if they would allow customers to do that". Again, just seethed with animosity and attitude from the manager. I was nice, but I did tell him that I while I kind of agreed with the whole "not fair for people who wait in line" that it's not my fault that Target allows this policy. If they allow it, why not take advantage of NOT having to stand in line. But it doesn't matter now, I got my TV and my adjustment and I'm happy.

Overall a pleasant experience with that particular Target, but I do wonder if they will continue to do this policy for the years to come.

The clerk started to tell me that they don't do price adjustmesnt for black friday, and i handed her my email specifically saying they do. She gave me my money back (not happily, but hey, it's not coming out of her pocket)

I'm glad you were able to get the adjustment even though the clerk was not the kindest person.

It was a breeze!:) Handed them my two receipts and I was $80 richer in just moments. Didn't take away the $10 off $100 deduction I had for the video games either.

I have to say that the Target I was at in NJ was incredible. I picked up a 1000 thread count fitted sheet in King that my other one didn't have before BF. I was at the checkout line with NO WAIT and out of the store in 5 minutes. Better than a regular day.

No problems at all. Took awhile though - seemed they have new people working at our customer service area and only one girl had experience so she was trying to talk both of the other workers through their adjustments. But other than the time, no problems at all and there were a couple others doing the same thing. The Christmas Vacation DVDs came up $1 higher so instead of fighting with the computer she handed me a $3 voucher - so I was up another $1 on top of my $71 credit!

no problems for me - went to the counter - had 3 receipts b/c when i told my family what i was doing one of them ordered something - so i had a receipt from mon, tues & wed... just asked which items i wanted adjusted and voila... about $200 - while i may have saved a few bucks getting in line at best buy etc... so not worth it - much easier to just price adjust...

target is smart by doing this,.. if i was going to have to wait in line somewhere - i would not have done it at target and i would have bought my stuff elsewhere - but b/c of this i spent aabout $300 there
