The system pumps 6 watts per channel through a pair of 2-way speakers, ,each of which uses a 3-inch woofer and a .5-inch tweeter. Enjoy your favorite tunes without interruption--you can play a CD at random, in a specified order, or repeat one song or the whole disc.

Panasonic CD/Radio/Cassette Boombox with MP3 CD Playback - $79.99 Shipped - Amazon.com

Discuss the deal in this thread.

Hmmm... been looking for an MP3 boombox and I like the Panasonic brand but I don't really need the tape deck and I can't find any reviews. Anybody know if there are any professional or consumer reviews anywhere on the web?

I looked and couldn't find anything - although it's hard to find anything on Google behind all the Amazon-clone pages out there. It looks like a lot of the boomboxes throw in a cassette player - most likely just to take up the extra space in the front. I have one of the Sony S2 MP3 boombox models from when Target B&M had them mispriced at like $50 for a week, and it works well. I'll let you know if I can find any more info on that model.
