Are you dreaming of a White Christmas? Do you ever get one?

We are in coastal Georgia now so I doubt there will be any snow. In South Mississippi we used to get snow flurries (nothing that would stick). The only time if ever stuck when we were in Mississippi was our very first year living there -- 1992. We had a lot...enough to make a snowman and have a snowball fight!

We are talking about moving to Tennessee when Ray gets out of the Army in 2009 -- not sure what part, it is all so pretty. Maybe near the mountains.

We had an awesome White Christmas in 2004. 3 days before Christmas it started snowing and didn't let up until Dec 24th. We had 30 inches of snow. All traffic was stopped ( including air) and my son was on his way home from the Air Force in Texas. He got in at 10:30 Christmas Eve. and my husband took 3 hours to drive home from the airport (normally an hour drive) but Its a Christmas I'll never forget. :)

Okay, I guess everyone's version of "awesome" is different. :tongue1: I was NOT happy about this. Yes, the snow is pretty, but a thin layer will suffice. I don't like being stuck at home.

I lived near Tampa FL the last 4 years and recently moved to Maine so I am going out on a limb here :D and saying we WILL have a white Christmas this year! It will be some COLD in those lines on Black Friday BUT I will still be there for all the deals!

I am always dreaming of a White Christmas!

The last "white" Christmas we had was 8 years ago. It snowed on the 23rd and there was still snow on the grass on Christmas day. Before that it had been years. I want it to snow starting on Christmas eve and end Christmas night.

We also had a huge snow over Christmas in 2004. I think we ended up with 16-18" I was over the moon!!!

I do dream, and it sometimes happens but in southern Illinois its hit and miss. Some years we get it, some we get a few flurries, some we get nothing! LOL

In 05 we had a white Christmas, but usually we don't get anything. The most memorable Christmas was when I was still in elementary school and we had tornado warnings.

I still remember my mom trying to convince me that Santa could make it through anything!

I live in Ohio too and I remember this. I had just quit working to be a SAHM and was thinking thank goodness I quit or I would have stuck at work because everyone else would have called off! I enjoyed it, but I would prefer to have just a light blanket of snow so all the people traveling can get to their destinations safely.
