When I got through it only showed next weeks deal and now the page won't even load.

I had the exact same thing happen.

This was not a scam! Hundreds of thousands of people (if not more) were trying to get on the site. Amazon's servers can only let so many people in at once, and so everyone else timed out, and the lucky few got in and got an XBox. Be realistic - did anyone honestly not see this happening today? :)

I WILL NEVER FALL FOR THIS CRAP AGAIN. No more voting on amazon deals. There isn't any sense in it. Wasted time. Fooey !! Next week will be the same even though the deals are not as good. Whatever.

Arghhhhhh... I was all set had my CC info loaded and ready to go etc at 1:57pm (ET) and the page just went white/blank. I guess we never had much of a chance, BTW we had 3 computers on DSL all trying at 2:01pm and nobody could even get it, so its not just dial up!!!! Oh well:gdwow:

How on earth could you accomodate 1000 orders in 1 minute. I can't imagine the technology behind that.

They didn't they only had to generate 1000 codes in a minute. That is quite easy actually.

Those who won, have until Friday to buy it I believe.

Yeah it was a lottery, but the daggone servers were extremely overloaded...I find it hard to believe that ANYONE got through...as everyone on here experienced the same problems (blank screen, very slow loading of the site, sold out within MERE seconds, etc.) However, it was fun, but it sure pissed me off! ;)

No reason to get up set. You have to realize that there were probably hundreds of thousands of people trying to get these within seconds.

It was more like a lottery than a sale.

I was just gonna say that, we'd be better off signing up if we want to buy then do random drawings

damnnnn it made me add 5+1 to get my code..then took forever to load....then said it was sold out, what a tease. Why even give me the math to get the code when they are all gone, and how is the math supposed to help deflect fraud??

I had two computers going and refreshing for 10 minutes prior, just in case. I refreshed at different times, and the load time got longer as the hour approached. I refreshed and it came up with next weeks vote. wt? I refreshed again and I got my original page saying it starts at 11 am PST. After that, load times started getting longer. I got through when it said sold out. They should not try this stunt again. I have 2GB and a fast PC with a high-speed connection. Maybe you have to live in the same town as the server to get it. It just don't seem right.

My page finally loaded. The Xbox and the bike are sold out, Barbie and Prime are still available it says. Yeah, it was extremely likely that Amazon would crash due to this, but it's near impossible to believe that anyone could get through on there, let alone 1,000 people.

Total crap. I couldn't get the page to load from 10:57 to 11:12. Piece of junk. Amazon just lost a customer.
