Docking station usually retails for $69. The model number listed is a 5.0 Megapixel camera with ZOOM. lovebears65 Posted November 10, 2004 Share Posted November 10, 2004 I dont know if the prices is real but my old manager ( I used to work in the photo lab at walmart) came over for lunch yesterday and I asked her what camera was on blitz and she said that model number . She didnt say anything about the docking station though.. So I dont knwo if that is for real or not Oh she also said they have 70 in stock for blitz ... Watch out for their LENS' They are part plastic!!! If you scratch that lens, all your pics will be ruined from there on out. How do I know this? I've worked for Fuji for over 2 years. They invented and use only high quality lens's in their digitals, something to think about when you are sinking that much money into an electronics item. Fuji is all Glass, therefore if you scratch the thing, it can be fixed. Also while Docking stations are NICE, they tend to break over time and are expensive to replace. Fuji uses a cord that plugs into the front of your puter and then into your camera. User friendly and constructed to last a LOT longer. All the software is interchangable too. Make sure you consider the zoom VS pixels when buying a camera too. The two together equal something called EFFECTIVE pixels and Kodak doesn't have the best in this either. Fuji is coming out with a 5.2 megapixel for Xmas that is awesome! I believe it is called an E550, will check into that. But for a 3.2...........go to Walmart! They have a Lexmark printer bundle pack this year with an A330 (3.2 and 3X optical zoom) in it (which is the camera I have) and the Printer PLUS the camera is only $178 I think. Great Camera!!!! Jaidensmom Posted November 10, 2004 Share Posted November 10, 2004 Okay I actually have this camera...First let me say I *do* love it and the dock is awesome ...the quality is great...... HOWEVER......One ink/paper set can run around 25 bucks AND it only prints out 40 pictures. Now that MAY sound like alot but if your like me I take tons of pictures , especially around the holidays. This is a great set but be prepared to pay out quite a bit for the ink and paper if you have alot of pics to print out. I have tried cheaper paper but because of the way the dock is made you can only use the kodak paper made for it. There are little tabs on each end of the picture you tear off...all other paper gets jammed up in the doc because of the odd paper size. So before you purchase this seriously consider -how much you will be using it -how much the ink/paper packs are in your b&m's -would it be cheaper just to get a digital camera and have the pics processed somewhere else Now don't get me wrong I am not telling you not to buy this camera, I just wasn't aware of of how expensive the pics would be to print out. outnumbered Posted November 10, 2004 Share Posted November 10, 2004 I have an EasyShare too, not sure of model number. I love it! I don't have the docking station. For my needs, the camera is great. If I want actual photos, on film, I use a regular 35mm camera and get film developed (for photo albums, etc). For sending pictures to family (2000 miles away) I use the digital. Also, my 4 y/o son loves to have pictures of himself to carry around and look at, and for that purpose any old color printer and paper (like my $30 Lexmark cheapie) is just fine. As long as he can recognize himself in the picture, LOL, the quality is OK. What I print out isn't a substitute for a "real" album-worthy photo, but it serves its purpose.
