WSJ reporting today that Prime Day has been pushed back again, to September (just 2 months before BF).

I don’t see them pushing that far. Too close to BF.

Amazon will own back to school sales if they do this.

If their distribution network can handle it, they'd be smart to just have a long 4-month string of sales starting with Prime Day and going through BF. They'd get a jump on everyone and you'd have people doing holiday shopping much earlier than normal.

Wow - that is going to flow right into their Pre-Black Friday sales! :gdwow:

I always get really in the mood for Black Friday and the holidays after Prime Day. They keep this up, I won't have too long to wait between the 2.

I guess I will have to find other motivation.

Glad I didn't miss it....

I wonder why they are waiting so long, supply chain issues?

I think they just want to have it in Q4 so it's part of their big 2-3 month string of deals. Prime day into pre-Black Friday into Black Friday into Cyber Monday into Last Minute Deals.

Well, I'm looking to buy a new Fire tablet, so I'll just wait until then!

That's exactly what I'm hoping for too! In the past I have gotten great deals on QVC for them but hoping that Amazon pulls out the stops on their deals this year.

Guessing there will be a press release within a week or so with some deals listed. We typically don't get sent the early list of deals (that we can't really share anyway) until 3-7 days before the sale starts.

I hope to find something worth buying this year. I have either arrived at a point where I could care less or I already have it.

I’m definitely there this year.  I usually have a few things on my BF list and things I would like for my own Christmas gifts and family gifts and this year I have nothing on any list.  Nada.  Maybe it’s just the COVID funk.

I have been looking at big televisions again, but I am losing interest.  I think I'm full.
