i am beginning to wonder whats going on.. i bought 4 items now, that the person i bought them for ended up showing me they got it ! this is the down fall to wrapping early and putting stuff away .. now what do i do? did through it all and find the stuff.. some i will have to open to see if it is the items .. i hope this is not the beginning of a curse, with this happening more and more.  last year for a birthday i bought someone something for their car, and they traded in the car LOL

This is my biggest fear. My siblings and I always have to talk to make sure we did not buy the same thing or to make sure the kids does not already have it. For the older people I have started giving experiences ( Plays, concerts, etc ) This way I do not have to worry about that, but then again that would be a costly present.

This happened to me a couple of years ago. I bought the married couple who are my landlords tickets to an AL Stewart concert in a local, very intimate theater. If I recall, I even managed to score front row tickets. Turned out the husband got his wife tickets to a country music festival for the same night. Since the wife prefers country music, and she enjoys AL Stewart, but not like the husband (who tolerates country concerts to please his wife) the adage, "if mama ain't happy..." applied.

EXACTLY!!!!! That would be a hard one to swallow if I could not unload them.
