Hoping Someone Can Help Me With Questions - Amazon Music Unlimited

Hi. I recently signed up for Prime (mainly for the shipping, especially during BF and December.) I was looking at Amazon Music Unlimited but it seems expensive for me and my finances at this time. Then I looked at the prices again and it looks cheaper with a FireStick which I already use for TV, and looks much cheaper with an Echo. So does that mean if I buy an Echo Dot (at Kohls on BF) which I was already thinking of getting, that Music Unlimited would only be $3.99 a month? Would I be able to listen to this on my smartphone, my tv, or only through the Echo Dot? Sorry for all the questions.

With your Prime account, you can get 20% off Music Unlimited (reg $7.99/mo). If you buy an Amazon device, you get 3 months.  I don't know if you would get the free months if you don't buy it from Amazon.  I may be missing what you're seeing, but I don't think owning one of those devices will make the monthly rate cheaper.

When we bought our Echo and dots a few months ago - it was a Prime Day sale, I got an email offering me a four month trial for like a few dollars.  We decided not to keep it for the regular $7.99 a month after the trial expired.  Hubby pays for Spotify and that works with the devices.  The music wasn't a bad deal - you can listen through your phone if you install the app, or listen on any echo-type device.  He just prefers the Spotify that we already pay for.
