Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
January 15, 2018
9:30am - 5pm

20900 Oakwood Blvd
Dearborn, MI 48124
Phone: (313) 982-6001

Come celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the many ordinary people who had the extraordinary courage and commitment to ask for more from their nation on civil rights. Bring your family and friends, we open Henry Ford Museum to the community on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day absolutely FREE.

That includes free admission and free parking, activities and dramatic presentations. Sit in the Rosa Parks Bus, and hear the story of Mrs. Parks' courageous act. Participate in and be captivated by the highly praised 30-minute show “Minds on Freedom,” which celebrates the contributions of Dr. King, Mrs. Parks and other civil rights champions such as Fannie Lou Hamer, Gloria Rackley and the Freedom Riders. Sing, carry a protest sign and interact with the performers. You, too, can make history.

Seriously... If you live in the area and you've never been... Go. So much to see. I try to go at least once a year myself. Yes, it will be crowded. Pack your patience.

For those curious: Kitty in my pic is current furbaby, Mew, curled up in a box far too small for her. Ha! "If I fits, I sleeps!"

NASCAR fan (particularly JGR pit crews - many friends there), diehard UM Wolverine fan, animal lover, car girl, cookie baker, singer, bargain hunter. Yep. That about covers it. lol
