Re-gifting YES or NO?

I do at times. It sometimes depends on who gave it to me to be honest. For example : Since my grandmother is older what ever she gives me I keep just in case it maybe the last thing she gives me.  Last year she gave me a shirt but I can not fit it, way to big but I love that she went to the store and picked it out for me.

And never forget to remove any evidence it's being re-gifted.  I once received a gift with an old to/from sticker on the bottom. It wasn't a re-gift though, it was actually something my mom had picked up at a garage sale. :)

I think re-gifting is fine, and, that you can really appreciate a gift without actually using it.  When I buy gift cards I purposely do not write any names on the back of the card, in case the recipient wants to re-gift.  My sister and I have a running gag where we have been giving each other the same birthday card for a few years now.  We write our greetings on post it notes placed inside so the card can be used again.

I reuse gift boxes so that has happened quite a few times

I have actually given the wrong gift to someone because of the label. We would be sitting around and I be like sorry but that's not yours. Oh the look on there faces but since it's family it's not as bad

Was it the one fruit cake in existence that's being passed around the world and was the look one of relief? :sidesplit

depends in the gift. It happened one-time over a necklace and you could cut the air with a knife. I was the one that messed up but my two aunt's was going to rearrange my house and everyone in it over this necklace. I bought her one for her birthday the next year but If looks could kill.....

I've only done it on a rare occasion.  My "circle" is small and I have the worst luck so I'm afraid it will come back to bite me in the rear. :)

My luck as well. One year my in laws gifted something we gave them to my wifes aunt in front of us. I was like really... but it was theres they can do whatever they like with it

I don't see any problem with regifting if it is done thoughtfully. If you get a gift and think that I would like it more, sure I will take it. I also regift the birthday gifts my daughter doesn't like to give to her friends. I would go broke buying a new gift every time. I hate it when regifters give obviously used things or something that obviously wouldn't work for me. Someone gave me a Christmas scented bath set where two of the bottles were obviously used and the box was cracked for my birthday. My birthday is in the summer. I have a feeling that it wasn't even from that past Christmas, either. I also received a salmon sampler gift box. I am deathly allergic to seafood.
