Who do you shop with?

Has been just my sister and me for years. My younger son (18) and her oldest son (17) started going to Walmart with us a couple years ago when they saw video games they wanted to buy with the Christmas money from grandparents. They're old enough to stand there alone and tall enough to reach up and over things to reach for us! :D

I usually start out at Walmart with my mom. We also usually do Walgreens together and sometimes Dollar General. My sister goes in her own vehicle to Walmart but she has our list and we have hers. We usually meet up a couple times in Walmart to swap things or watch each others carts for bathroom breaks. A few years I tagged along with my sister to the mall on BF morning but that's been awhile now. Before I had my own car.

Last year my sister and I were supposed to meet at Dollar General and do opening there. Miscommunication, I went to the one by her house and she went to the one by my house. It all worked out though, grabbed my must have from that store then went to the one my sister was at. Her MIL is a huge BF shopper too, she had 2 carts full at Dollar General. She's kind of in our BF team too, always run into each other and we help her she helps us get things.

I go solo, but I would LOVE for my husband to go with me at least one time.  He says he will, but I'm not holding my breath on that, lol.

My husband's the same way! Thinks I'm nuts every year.

We started out with just me and my sister.  Over the years we have added to our group.  We have had some relatives go just one year and decided not to go again.  The last few years my niece has started going.   My daughter (17) went last year and wants to go again this year.  So it will be me, my sister, my daughter and my niece this year.

Years ago, it was me, my sister, and my mom. Mom actually was in her car, while my sister and I were in another, but we did what we could to fill all the lists that way. Somewhere in there, Mom quit going. Later, my cousin started going with us, and that lasted a few years. When All three of our boys have gone 1 year each, around age 15 or 16, and said never again. We got our other sister to go all of twice. But, that was after they started the midnight openings so it was too late. She never got to enjoy the "real" black Friday shopping. LOL.  When my daughter in law came in to the family, she started going with us, and last year my niece went and I think she's going again this year.  But the 1 constant has always been my sister.

Edit to add:  Doresia (above) is my sister.  We were commenting on this at the exact same time.  See? Constant. :)

I started out over 20 years ago with my mom up until she passed away 5 years ago.  :(   My hubby has gone once and told me to NEVER ask him to go again.  My daughter has went some, depending on work.  I'm still going strong. I just don't go out as long on Thursday night anymore.  Used to we would be in line at like 3am and not be home until after lunch.  Now i go to a few stores (most is bought online) and come home around 9pm, go to bed and then get up around 5am and go again.  I think my daughter is going again this year.

I go with my mom and sister every year. My daughter came one year when she was about 22. And maybe one other time when she was maybe 18 or 19. She lives shopping, but why would you go with mom and grandma?? Also, I would buy kids gifts so I was fine her staying.

My husband came and picked me up from PetSmart when the others were done one year and went a couple places with me. He and my son are sweet, they both said they'd go with me if I want... My son even ended with,"but please don't ask me to!" But yeah, I'll stick with the girls!

It’s usually just me and my mom. Last year, I invited one of my BFF’s to come along and it was her first time going out shopping on Black Friday lol not sure if she will come along this year it was kind of a shock for her. This year I may drag my brother out if he has off of work.

The first few years with a nephew who was a teen at the time.  More often alone.  Recently alone most of the time but dropping off my wife and daughter (who don't drive) and connecting with them periodically or to take them home or to hotel.  (We are very often traveling on Thanksgiving to different destinations--this time back to Weatherford, Texas for the second time).

I started on my own twenty plus years ago. My mom joined the next year, we ran into relatives who became part of the group and eventually my daughter joined us. Some have shopped with us and swore to never again...others have become regulars. Every year there are around seven or eight of us and much of the fun is the time we spend together as we chase our deals.
