So DS requested Beats headphones. I know there are better brands but tell that to a 15 year old, lol. I see the ones on the home page from ebay for 69.99. Do you think I will find a better deal closer to Black Friday or should I just bite the bullet and get them today?

The ones on eBay are refurbs. There are always deals on Beats headphones in November. Target and Best Buy have pretty good deals and they don't sell out too quickly so you should be able to get them.

There have been deals for at least the past two years that I know of. I bought from Radio Shack one year and Walmart last year. They were both $69, but new.

Can you tell me which ones you feel are better than BEATS? I am looking to get my son-in-law a good pair of studio headphones (he records his own music). Many of the BEATS brands did not get great reviews. I am totally out of my league with this stuff lol!

Thanks and any suggestions are very much appreciated.

For studio headphones here are some brands you can check into:

Beyerdynamic

Sennheiser

Audio-Technica

Shure

Beats tend to inflate the bass so it's not a true sound. If he is using it to record you want a studio grade headphone.

I'm seriously considering buying the Sennheiser HD558's for my daughter. They are currently $59.98 at Best Buy and have really good reviews. She already has a pair of Beats and keeps taking my Audio Technica ATH-M50s/LE pair, which I LOVE. If they weren't discontinued, I would really recommend them. I  can't say that I love the newer ATH-M50x. They sound tinny to me, so now they sit in the car for when my daughter watches movies.

I price matched at Kohls last year. Couldn't use 15% off but got 15.00 for every 50 Kohl's cash....that was awesome!
