My almost 15 year old son loves using my iPhone.  He mostly uses Safari and the game apps.  I'm concerned with him having it because he's not always the most careful with it and I don't want to have to replace it.  I was thinking of getting him an iPod Touch.  Do they do a lot of the same things?  Like can he still use Safari on it and download game apps from the app store?  Or is it more limited to just music and the camera?

I know a lot of kids his age just have their own phone but due to his disability his developmental age is more like that of a 6 year old.

Thanks for any advice on this!

Yes for most purposes the iPod Touch is an iPhone without the gear needed to use it as a phone such as the radios and antenna and such. You can do most everything else though I'm pretty sure the later touch also support iOS 10 which is the newest OS out for the iPhone.

Thank you so much!  He doesn't need to make calls so this would be a good fit for him then.

Sorry, one more question - Would the 32GB be sufficient for playing games and maybe taking some pictures?  He's used to his Amazon Fire which you can just keep getting micro SD cards for.  This will be a new limit for him to get used to.  I wish I could afford more but I think convincing my husband will be tough enough with the 32GB.

Shouldn't be an issue. They also have USB Thumb drives meant for iOS devices that you can push movies and photos off too in order to save some space.
