My daughter plays soccer and we are looking to record games to eventually create a highlight video for recruitment purposes. I don't feel that anything 4K is necessary, but you'll want full 1080p HD; look for good battery life, maximum memory card size and/or maximum single video length. Look for something with a screen for viewing rather than looking through the viewfinder. The thing you'll want to invest in is an easy tripod!!! You want something portable, light, but very stable.
