Best Buy Black Friday Ad Posted

First came Target. Then came Walmart. Then I knew it would be soon that Best Buy would fall. While many may be displeased with the results of the election these past 24 hours have been some of the best for those of us who are Black Friday shoppers! Thank you Brad for your hard work!

Doors open at 5pm Thursday but doorbusters start at 8am?? Am I missing something? Do they give out tickets and then you come back? Do I have to wait there for 15hrs? I am usually first on line, but when do I get my tickets and when can I get the items? If I get my tickets and get a similar deal someplace else I am not going to be buying it at best buy when I have walmart, target, kohls, sears, etc all right in the mall.

I think Best Buy is making a huge mistake not having the door busters until 8am Friday... They don't explain how thus is going to work and people will be there for door busters at 5pm and nit be able to get them, or not come until 8am at which time they may be gone. Very confusing even to a regular Best Buy customer what the plan is for their doorbusters. I may just go some lace else and forget Best Buy if their sale starts at 8am. Or do they have some doorbusters at 8am and others at 5pm... or do they give out tickets at 5pm and you return at 8am... No explanation in their ad and that's going to cost them big time. TazErase: It will be like last year. They will open at 5pm and at some point between 3pm and 5pm they will come out to hand out tickets for the 5pm doorbusters. Then at some point after midnight they may close for a few hours and prior to re-opening  at 8am they will come out and hand out tickets for the 8am doorbusters. So basically there is two sets of doorbusters. To your point though the ad isn't exactly clear on which items are for the 5pm doorbusters and which are for the 8am doorbusters.

Thanks. Last year we had a family emergency and I was at a funeral when I would normally have been on line already. Still not sure which items are sale at what time. The ad has some good deals, but others have the same item for close to that price or a similar item. If Best Buy decides to go with the ad the way it is they are going to have lots of upset customers, and I for one may not even bother since I don't want to have to be looking for items that won't be on sale until hours later.

So yeah..... I'm confused on what doorbusters belong to what day. Hopefully I can get what I want online. Pretty good ad except for the doorbuster confusion.

I prefer to get the items at the store because I enjoy camping out, lol. I may just go someplace where their ad is more clear. Many of the items on sale are also available in Walmart or Target, both of which are right there as well.

Awesome deal on the SP4! Too bad we don't need one this year. Did not see a 4k monitor. :( That's the big electronic thing on my list.

Great price on the Netgear AC5300, we eyed that last year and talked ourselves out of it.

Also interested in some of the home automation things, doorbell and outlets.

The gaming keyboards are 50% off, and that's on the list.

And I think we have picked the laptop for my nephew, hooray!

If you don't mind my asking, which laptop? I'm currently comparing specs of two with my current, but dead as a door nail, laptop

I like the $349 Dell. 15.6", 8 gb ram, 1tb hdd, touch screen. I've seen a couple a little cheaper with lower specs, but since I have to support it, I would like him to have something that he won't be whining about in a few months! This seems to be a pretty sweet spot where the specs and price are good. And I think it's available today, so if mama buys it now, she will stop asking me what to buy!

Liking that they have that 50" Samsung 4k for $397.99 - as I recall, that one's been reviewing decently for what I'd be using it for. Thankful it's not a doorbuster, so maybe I can snag it online. Trying to avoid the need to buy a new TV stand, so the pedestal base is also a big plus, as it will (just barely) fit on my current stand.

ETA: Seeing some other things, too. Could be one of my "go to" places on Friday if I can't grab it all online ahead of time.

Somewhat on topic: Anyone ever modified a corner TV stand (or know where I could look for DIY direction) to support a mount-style apparatus (would open up my options, TV-wise)?

Couple of things I would like to get but they are Doorbuster so it won't happen. I like the Samsung 55" for $479 and the 13.3" MacBook Air for $799 (needs to replace my wife's 2009 MacBook and give that to our daughter). Guess I will have to see if any of it sneaks online but I seriously doubt it. May go in and pick some other things. I was hoping they would have the EboBee multi-room thermostat but I only saw the Nest. Oh Well will have to wait and see if HD as has it.

Thanks! That's one of the two I'm contemplating. Still looking at the HP 15.6" in Sam's Saturday sale as well.

I told my mom about that one as well. It has a nice amount of memory. Mama is helping my sister buy this, and she doesn't have much money, so I think this will do well in performance and cost. I wish they could get him something much higher, but...

I think both are good choices. :)

I know, hence my quandary. There's only $30 difference between the two but that is not insignificant when on a budget.

I just purchased (and will pick up tonight) a LG 50 in their "preBF" sale online. My major BF purchase is complete so now I can focus on smaller (and easier to carry) things!

Let me know what you think. Wife and I were talking about possibly that one or one from the Sam's Club ad since I won't be doing Thursday in-store sales lol.
