Printer Set-Up HELP!

Purchased an HP printer off the clearance rack at Sam's Club. The starter ink cartridges had been removed. Bought new ones so now that I trying to set it up, it keeps telling me that I have to put the starter cartridges in. I put the new ones in, but it is not accepting them. How do I bypass this so I can continue with set-up? I have searched online and can't find anything to help me.

This is what I found


If your printer came without starter cartridges you will have to contact tech support. The number to tech support is 800-474-6836

Ya everything I found points to the same thing. Seems silly to me but what do I know.
