I bought a new desktop top for my husband (he did not want a laptop!) and on a fixed budget this year, for Christmas. When I got ready to purchase, they bombarded me with extras, I knew that they would ask me about office and extended warranty, but instead they wanted me to pay for services to remove unwanted "garbage". I didn't have the money for that, so my question is...is there an easy way a non-tech savvy person can remove this stuff?

Depends on what it is but usually you can go into the Programs Add/Remove and remove all the stuff you don't want installed on it. What machine did you buy?
