I remember there used to be lots of coupons in the ads...

I remember when I first started going BF shopping, (before we could see the ads online in advance) we would sit around on Thanksgiving and look at all the ads.  We would always have lots of coupons in the paper/ads for us to use at so many different stores.  I've noticed in the past few years there just isn't as many coupons offered on BF anymore.  Don't get me wrong, I still have some coupons to B&BW, New York & Comp, Hallmark and Ulta, but I remember having soooo many more!  I'm guessing they just aren't doing coupons much anymore b/c the sales are better??  What do yall think?  Even my Belk coupon never works on BF b/c they have sooooo many exclusions that you can't use them. I've even told a cashier that I didn't know why their company even did coupons b/c you never got to use them.  LOL!

Do yall have a lot of coupons your able to use this year?

I can't remember ever using coupons on BF...unless online and it's a coupon code.  The only store who sent me coupons this year, I believe was Kohl's, and I'm not shopping there this year.  I may have also received a coupon for JcPenney, but I don't know if that expired before BF, I think so.  I always receive coupons for stores I hardly ever shop at, and even then, it's rare.

Wish one year I would receive the 15% off entire store coupon at Target!  I've never been so lucky!

I still haven't received all the ads in the mail...not happy about that!!

There used to be more coupons; there's still a few to use.  BB&B, Macy's, Kohls, Ace.

I never get any actual ads in the mail.  I have to buy them in the newspaper.  Honestly, I can't even remember if they come in Wednesday or Thursday paper because I usually just do it all online now, and only have a few random items to pick up in-store rather than my whole loot so I don't need a paper copy of the ad.

I don't remember using coupons on Black Friday, but I remember seeing more in the past.  I think part of it is the hassle of dealing with coupons on the busiest day of they year, combined with as you mentioned better deals.  Taking the coupons out of it should have helped the line times, but it attracted more shoppers.

I also think a lot of places are loading coupons onto their customer cards so I have a feeling coupons in general could be going away sooner than later.

Me, my MIL and SIL use to find coupons in the Thursday paper that were almost hidden in the paper.  Sometimes they would be with the actual ad, but we would find some of ours in the paper away from the ads.  They didn't fool us. LOL!
