Yep, they should have seen someone trying to exploit this.

Notice they were quick to close the "loophole" http://www.cnbc.com/id/102199267

Wednesday afternoon, a Wal-Mart spokesman told CNBC that the retailer's policy has been updated as a result of the fraud. The updated policy on Walmart.com notes stores will not honor prices from marketplace vendors, third-party seller, auction sites or sites requiring memberships. "We can't tolerate fraud or attempts to trick our cashiers," Wal-Mart said, in a statement. "This kind of activity is unfair to the millions of customers who count on us every day for honest value."

This is the same Walmart that cannot even honor its own ads.

"Sale starts at 8am" Unless you are an employee, friend of employee, or, know  one of the many idiotic employees.

Walmart's motto should be "nobody screws us over until we've finished doing a whole bunch of screwing over legitimate customers."

At the Walmart in my area employees purchased the 40" tv last night at the sale price but this morning the managers made everyone return them so they could sell them to the customers. The managers also went searching and found hidden tv's to sell this morning. They were not letting employees keep them hidden for themselves or buy them before the sale or when they are working.

There are a few WalMart employees who frequent this board, and some spouses of employes (clearing throat). My dh works hard to make sure those types of things don't happen as I am sure many managers do. Not all are bad - every store chain has disgruntled customers.

Simple solution too, if you don't like them then don't shop there.

I am normally a fan of Walmart. Having been stung twice recently by their local stores "dubious" practices, I am less inclined to shop there, but, with prices the way they are, you often have little choice. I am sure not all the stores are as bad as my 2 local WM Superstores and that a lot of the employees do a great job for little reward . I just wish their corporate people had a bit more backbone and would take a dim view of what goes on at so many WM locations.

I agree. Many often feel like they are swimming upstream...... Corporate crap sucks.
