Then there is a new thing that about 12-15% of Target stores are doing with their markdowns. Those stores are supposidly doing their markdown based on stock and previous years sales. I used my $50 American Express GC I got from christmas so I barely had to pay for a thing- Cologne gifts sets for super cheap, makeup sets, stocking stuffers for next year, etc. Love Walmart clearance. mommie75 Posted December 27, 2005 Share Posted December 27, 2005 we usally hit it new years eve or day at walmart and find things from 75% to 90% off i usally make a killing.. two years ago there was a ton left not just cards ,wrap,tags. we got cologene and makeup and all kind of stuff for tree light for house and stuff last year i was out of town so when i got ot walmart thre was not much if anything left.. this year i hit it yest did not really buy much but will be back there fri.. and then hit another one. it is like 30 min drive from mine.. i don't get there very often becausestill takes me 15 min to get to walmart . fri night or sunday when mom and i go shopping... has anyone been to walgreens and seen anything?? Most of them are sticks in the mud about it and some of them really don't give a hoot. And the policy is not the same at all stores - for either Walmart or Target. I scored a few gift baskets @ 4.50 and a few dog stockings filled with rawhide bones and one with toys for $2.50 each. And two large face dog ornaments for $1.97 each reg $3.98. They had a few boxes of candy, etc, mostly lights , and garland left. I spent $18.00 even and came out with 4 bags full of stuff.
