I know I bought Google Chromecast and it went back.  DD23 wanted it but all of her stuff is on iTunes and they are not compatible.

I was thinking about dropping cable myself - but almost all of the networks now make you select your cable provider to be able to stream their stuff on an app or on their website.  We found out that you are limited to when you can see shows based on the relationship with the provider.  If you have no provider, you may have to wait as long as week to be able to see new episodes on demand via their website.

I pulled out our Wii and found out you can now stream youtube on the Wii.  nice!

I checked for software updates and updated.  Then after that I went to the Marketplace and you can download it there.  I think!

I've been wondering about the Amazon Fire TV myself... we have several Rokus and my son streams through his video game system - wondering if the Amazon Fire TV offers anything more than voice recognition... if that is the only difference then the Roku is much cheaper.

I read a story that said the try it for free is really only letting you know you have 30 days to return it after you bought it.
