I couldn't fine where to put the "code" in for the discount, so I called customer service. She told me their website would not accept the code if I was buying sale items. I asked her where to enter the code and she told me after I put everything in the cart to go back to "home", then click "view cart" and the space would come up for promotions. They only charged my card $13.62 and the candles were on sale for $0.99 each (I bought 16), so with tax and shipping it appears that they applied the coupon to the portion they charged already.
