xr4ticrew Posted November 27, 2013 Share Posted November 27, 2013 I purchased the mini ipad deal this AM thru bestbuy.com, got the order and the $100 gift card and I just got an email from them saying the item is not available for pick up now. I called and was told they dont have anymore in stock at any store or online to ship and I need to re buy it tomorrow. This lady made no sense at all and now I am escalating to a supervisor.... All the calls were about cancelled Ipad mini orders, he said they just got way more orders than they could handle - bummer was that they weren't even offering anything extra for the cancellations. I waited until this morning to call and my order was changed to ship to my home and thankfully, it wasn't cancelled. (Yet!) Please just have it shipped or buy it in person. It'll save you the headache, as when u purchase it they show they have hundreds in stock, but when you go there it's for tomorrow's sale. So all are set back for the sale, and they can't override them in store. They called, while I was out of town to say THEY pulled the wrong tablet...etc. etc. Ok, I went there last night to talk to manager. After much back and forth, here is what I got. IPAD Mini w/ Retina 16GB (ME276LL/A model, which is newer model from $299 model) regular $399.99 (discounted $200.00) plus $100 BB giftcard... I was fully prepared to walk away cause they wanted to give me the newer model in place of $299 model they FAILED to pull properly. Manager just essentially had them put the $200.00 on a best buy gift card and swipe $100 off toward newer model and left my $100 gift card. So, I paid $213.99 for the newer model and got my $100 gift card, because they made the error. So, excited.Oh, my lesson learned...."NEVER DO STORE PICKUP".
