pam29922 Posted October 14, 2005 Share Posted October 14, 2005 I usually do pockets only, but last year I carried a small backpack style purse since I wanted to keep my cell phone on me as well (I don't have a cell phone hip clip). but people kept bumping it and it was making me CRAZY! I have a great plan this year. I found an awesome pull over sweatshirt at American Eagle Outfitters that has a pocket inside the front pocket that closes with velcro so I will carry my cards, license and keys in my front jeans pockets and my cell phone in the sweatshirt pocket. I have a feeling this year will be alot of purse snatching with the heating bills rising to 70% more....I use a little wallet, and put the bare neccessities in it for my big day. I would prefer a hard case as I hate my plastic to snap!Try the dollar store or family dollar if there is one in your area. They tend to carry small purses for cheap. I usually take my small one with me that I can put a few essential items in it ( money, keys, cellphone, cc's, and license). But the stores that have carts,,,,lol,,,I take the kids strap and put the strap of my purse through it and lock it. But I have someone with me when shopping so one of us has control of the cart. I have never understood why people carry their whole life story in a bag. My cc and dl go in my back pocket, car lock remote on hook to front belt loop, and cash in front pockets. It's bad enough that I have to wear a hat, scarf, gloves and a bulky coat because it's freezing out. Don't need to worry about a purse getting lost or stolen.
