Last year my DH got beat up by the women who were rushing the doors when they opened and then their was a fist fight that broke out in the girls department all because 1 woman thought another woman was cutting in line when all she was doing was trying to get to a clothes rack they were both escorted out by the police.. all of this happened in Target!! :eyepoppin

2 years ago, I took my mentally disabled brother with me to Walmart of all places as our first stop. It was a 24 hour Walmart so we got to stand inside and wait for 5 am and them to remove the black plastic. I had him standing near a pallet of Little Pet Shop gift sets. I told him to stand there and grab one as soon as the plastic was removed. When I found him, he was in total disbelief that plastic wrap could be removed so fast and the amount of people willing to knock others down to get a toy. He did get mine but made me take him home after only one store. He refuses to ever shop Black Friday again. But tells the story every chance he gets.

Last year I slept in my truck by myself!! I left out of the house about 10:30 to get to K-B Toys midnight opending. I shopped there, stopped off home to use the bathroom and then headed back out to get to TRU for their 5am opening. Got to TRU about 1:15, looked @ the line decided I had some time to kill, tilted the seat back and took a nap. I got up about quarter to 3 and got in line and waited for my BFF to get there. When I told her what I did, she couldn't believe it!. When I got home and told DH, he was in shock. LOL He thought when I came back in to use the bathroom, that I stayed downstairs so as not to disturb him :yup:

It was 2 years ago on Black Friday. I was in Old Navy waiting to check out. One of the employees climbed a ladder and said I have a $25.00 gift card for the first employee to show me a toothpick. My daughter who was 11 at the time pulled a tampon out of my purse and said here is a really big toothpick! The guy was so red he just walked by us and gave us a gift card anyway!

Two years ago at Target when the doors were about to open at 6 am, at least 50 people from the parking lot all ran up to the doors and tried to get in line in front of all of us that had been waiting. Needless to say the line was NOT happy and started booing the line-crashers, very loudly. It was loud enough for the police and a few target workers that had been waiting inside the doors for opening to come outside, seperate the line-crashers and line them up, seperately, on the other side of the door. And they didn't let them in until after our line was all inside!

I was due on Black Friday 2008. I went out for thanksgiving dinner and both parents houses and come back to my mom's house to rally the BF troops. Well, I was really jittery and couldn't sleep so I didn't lay down until 12:30am Friday. We got up at 1:30am to leave for shopping at the Prime Outlets in Williamsburg and I was having contractions 5 mins apart. I was a trooper and didn't tell anyone except my fiance (who blurted it in the middle of 7'11) and decided nothing was getting in my way of shopping. We went to the prime outlets and I pushed through the contractions pretty well. Then we drove to Newport News/Williamsburg border and stopped at Kohls....by this time it is after 4am....my bra broke on the way to the store, we are standing in line, and my contractions are 3 mins apart. THey open the door after what seemed like an eternity to me. I start walking around the store and find my mom and tell her I don't think I am going to make it through the day. I am about in tears when we get to the lengerie section and I get my new bra and my fiance says he is getting the car and taking my sister to my grandmothers car so they can continue shopping. We purchase evrything I have gotten throughout the store and go on to the hospital. I was the first person to deliver out of the group of women who came in from 3:30-4:30am and I was the last person to come in during that time period. THe doctor asked if there was a full mooon or something because they had the entire L&D filled with people waiting in the ER just to come up. They postponed all inductions. My son was born on 11/28/2008 at 11:36am and will be coming out for BF again this year.

I think this was near 6 or maybe 7 years ago. I wasn't motivated enough to stay overnight outside of Wal Mart for their deals but I decided I would show up about 5am to at least get in for a few things I knew would not be disappearing immediately.

I was standing in line to check out and was behind a person who had to have been in one of the first groups of people inside. Their shopping cart was loaded with the really good doorbusters.

The woman was on her cell phone talking with someone and I could tell over the noise around us that she wasn't having a good conversation with whomever was on the other end. She finally began shouting into the phone, ending the call with a few choice cuss words. She looks at me and says she is leaving and I could have the cart.

I of course took control of the cart and began sifting through the items in there and came out with a a compact DVD player, a full size DVD player and a digital camera. :D

Going on my 5th Black Friday this year. I can recall back to my first Black Friday at wal-mart where somehow I managed to take a instant line to the registers and be in my car withen 15minutes after opening. Dogdeing mothers with kids like threating objects. Managed to get meh Laptop and DVD's and still be first in line. I can tell you that every year afterwords... was very different :eyepoppin

Went to my first BF several years ago with my mom and sisters. OMG I didn't know people could be so crazy! Anyway, the store opened and the crowd rushed forward to get the "toy of the year"...(I think it was a furby) it was about 4 people deep all trying to pull and grab. I looked at the guy next to me, asked how many he needed. He said 1, so I said okay...push me in. He grabbed me, shoved me through the mass of people. I grabbed 2 and then he pulled me out. We each got one and I was even offered $200 for mine. I had to get it for a family member so I declined (I think in hine-sight) I should have taken the cash ;)

Three years ago I did BF for the first time. I intended on going to Best Buy for the $199 laptops. I didn't even need one but I went with my sister-in-law so she could get one for each of her kids, her DS, 14, was in Children's Hospital with cancer. We got to BB about 8:30pm Thanksgiving night and the line was already past BB and the neighboring Barnes & Noble! There were people with tents, heaters, recliners, guitars...you name it! I thought it was a riot! ;) So figuring we wouldn't be able to get the laptop we headed over to Circuit City. We got there and was about 12th in line. We stayed there all night in 40o weather but when they came out with the tickets at 4am they were out before they got to us! All they had was a more expensive package that had a bunch of mail-in-rebates. She didn't have enough to buy those so we left empty handed. :( On our way home we HAD to swing by BB and now the line was wrapped around Barnes & Noble AND the movie theater and PAST the back parking lot! It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen! Especially the poor dumb guy at the end of the line! ;) So we were home by 5 and only had the free snow globe from JC Penny to show for it! Lucky for her my mother-in-law got my nephew a laptop at Wal-Mart! =)

My first BF experience was in 1997. I was pregnant, had pneumonia, and it was 20 degrees out. My friend called me on Thanksgiving Day and asked if I needed any baby onesies b/c they were on sale at a now defunct store, Venture. Thus it began, and I haven't missed one since.

I was in a 24 hour Wal-Mart last year on BF waiting by the big stack of flat screen tv's. I was right beside them and when the plastic came off, they started flying everywhere! I got hit in the head numerous times and never did get my tv even though I was one of the first ones there :(

My two sisters and I took a friend with us last year. This friend is really shy and quiet, no assertiveness what so ever. So during our 30 minute ride to the store I was giving her a lecture on how to handle black friday. I was telling her she better get what was on her list or she walking home!! I told her if someone pushed her to push them back harder. If someone tried to take her stuff to scream FIRE! I told her when it was time to shop she had better have her little feet moving fast! My sisters where laughing their a$$ off!! We have NEVER had any kind of problems like that BF shopping. I was joking with her but I think I scared her!! It was just a fun way to start the day at 3 in the morning!! Our friend did just fine for her first BF experience. Wonder if she is going this year? lol

My first Black Friday experience was in 1988. On my way to my mom's house to pick up people to shop with, I made a mistake trying to open ketchup and drive at the same time. Needless to say, I turned my car around on the road. Another car hit me. We exchanged information and I still made the opening of Fred Meyer's that day. I have never missed on in the 21 years since.

I have been running on Black Friday with my mom since I can remember (since I was 10 maybe) So, over 20 years later, I still live for that rush of getting that awesome deal! My most memorable was two years ago when we were on a cruise for Thanksgiving. I knew the island we stopped at had two Kmarts so we took a taxi to one of them and hardly bought a thing. The locals were buying that stuff like it was gold but I thought the prices were too high even for black friday back home so didn't buy anything other than some sodas! :) That was my black friday! Last year we hit walmart first for the first time ever and I can say with a smile I will never go there again first! Those people were nuts! I don't need anything that bad!

I took my toddler son with me to the first BF I ever went to. Good part was I could buy his presents and he'd forgotten about them by the next day. Bad part - people are crazy, and if they have to run over a small child to get a deal, they will. I love BF - I just don't take the kids (or the hubby) with me.

A few years ago I ran into a particuliarly nasty woman while trying to get some board games. She was blocking the whole section that I needed and was QUITE rude when I said excuse me. The whole area was really packed as usual with everyone pushing and shoving, so no one noticed when I went under her to grab what I needed, lol!

This will be my very first Black Friday experience!! My DS is 4 this year and I'm sure his list is going to be a mile long, so all the more reason to get out there and get some deals. And, yes, I'm going to tackle the dreaded TRU!! Of course, if they open at midnight that would be great! I am so psyched. I can't wait!!!!

It was my first Black Friday sale and I took my DH for emotional and physical re-enforcement. We went to Best Buy to get an E-Machine. Got in line with about 200 other people who were after the x-box at 4 am in Chicago. He went across the street and got me coffee and donuts from Dunkin Donuts. We got SO many deathstares from the other husbands as THEY got the "look" from their wives.

We get the ticket for our item while in line, so got to relax a bit. But once we got inside the store, I got behind my 6'7" bohemoth and let him toss the scavengers out of our cart. It was insane. This one guy tried to grab our ticket, not even knowing what it was for. Bad choice of victims on his part. :yup:

Anyway, after that I was hooked. I LOVE going. It was, however, the last time I could talk DH into going. He thinks I'm nuts!

ok think I told this one last year but it is the best BF story I have got, couple years ago DH and BIL where wondering around the mall waiting for us to finish up so we could move to another shopping area.......there was a huge line for best buy as always so we totally avoided it and when we met up with DH and BIL they asked if we had wanted anything from best buy because they had been in and there was not very many people in there.......apparently they had somehow accidently jump the line, wondered around in there for a while and left without buying anything and didn't realize what a big deal this was until they saw the line outside (apperently they managed to get in from inside the mall) :eyepoppin

On BF I make alot of people mad, I will go out of my way to be pleasent, people will push and shove and say its ok, everyone is doing it cause its black friday, I tell people thats no excuse, I love the deals I get but I wouldn't push someone out of the way to score a hot item, I couldnt stand myself, I was at TRU and there was 2 ladies fighting, hitting each other, all for a doll, I had one that I was debating on getting, after I seen this I didn't want it, I heard a grandmother say her granddaughter wanted it but wasnt gonna fight for the last one, I yelled at the 2 that was fighting, "hey I'm not gonna buy this doll" they both stopped , but I walked over to the G-mother handed her the doll and said I hope your Gdaughter has a merry christmas, I got called the "B"word, I turned and said "santas watching you" the gmother was very happy,

Last year at Walmart I waited in Line for a Laptop. The lady in front of me got two of them and they were the last two. Everyone left and I thought what if someones credit card is declined or they change their mond so I waited and this lady infront of me got declined and I got my laptop. I ended up taking it back after X-mas but I got it that day!
