Overstock.com is giving 12% off any order and free shipping all this weekend.

Orders cannot be comprised solely of media items (video games, DVDs, CDs, books), so if you want to order those items, add a cheap non-media item to your order to activate the discount.

Filler item ($1.99) - http://www.overstock.com/?page=proframe&prod_id=2192935

Have any of you been able to get the discount to work? I clicked thru the link to order a playstation game and even after getting to the checkout page I was unable to get the discount.

i don't see fee shipping and it looks like the prices are jacked up before the discount.

Overstock.com coupons can't be used on orders that are just media items. That includes video games, DVDs, CDs and books. If you add a non-media item to your order, the coupon will work.

I got free shipping and the 12% off when I checked out. Bought a Rapid Charger for Ipods for my vacation, and also Kensington's Noise Cancelling Headphones. Got good reviews online, so I hope I like them!

This deal pairs well with the down comforters they have right now for 19.99, any size. There is a thread on them here, but I can't seem to figure out how to link it. I ended up w/2 queen comfortors for 35.98 shipped.

LOL... This is how I post a link to a thread (maybe there's a better way that I'm not aware of): hold your mouse over the thread, right click, select Copy Shortcut, then paste where you want it.

Whahoo! Just got this discount to work after *much* time back and forth here knowing there had to be a catch that Overstock wasn't applying the discount. Sure enough, with the Karaoke the discount didn't take effect, but as soon as I added a bird feeder I've been wanting for a long time (that happened to be on sale anyway!) they applied the discount to both items and of course there was the free shipping.

Not that great of a deal considering you can get a new 19" LCD for around $150-170 after rebate these days - see Staples Cyber Monday sale for one for $159.

I'll bet it would be helpful if someone posted a cheap non-media item to tack onto your media items to get your discount

Unfortunately, I don't use Overstock much and am too sick/lazy tonight to go searching.

i ordered a sectional set from them. one half of the order showed up perfect... great... but the corner sections (3) were USED.. dirty material, chipped , dusty/dirty legs, icky... i called, they offered me a 10% discount on the corner sections only. that related to $38. i feel like since it was a sectional purchase (that is what came up on the sectional search) that i should get the discount on the whole sectional, not just the USED items... they said no, to take the 10% or send it back. never again will i order a large purchase againfrom them.

buyer beware.

That's what I don't like about OS.com. They don't inform you if a product is refurbished or factory reconditioned or USED! I just bought an xbox 360 and the packing inside the xbox box looked suspect to me. But the mfg date was august 2006 so I feel better about that. But there was absolutely no packaging protection, no air bubbles, no styrofoam, just some constructionpaper. It says fragile/avoid magnet/ etc. but very small and you can't even see it on the shipping package unless it's under scrutiny. But you can't beat their cheap 2 year warranty plan that's for sure.

Also I just bought an mp3 player from them, it doesn't look brand new by the packaging. It's in a package but it looks like the package can be opened and closed and you won't even know if it has been opened.

Wow ordered almost the rest of christmas gifts and got them for about nothing with free shipping and the discount. My little girl wanted a memoryfoam topper for her toddler bed so
I ordered the cal king and going to cut it in 4ths to make a nice 4" matress topper for her. My aunt did this for her little girl and she loves it. You can't beat it! $49.99 and it comes with 2 pillows!!

Writing "fragile" or "do not bend" on mail is like writing "please throw this box around," IMO.

I agree. It's not going to be handled any more delicately, and in fact might be treated worse if the mail person(s) is/are having a bad day.
