What type of coupons do you use or sell/trade/buy more?

Food, beverages, baby, personal care, medicine, pet food, etc.?

We use mostly food and personal care but notice a big demand for baby and pet coupons.

1st. Medicine,2nd. pet items & 3rd. Cleaning items. I guess in about that order. With cold and flu season upon us the Meds are in first place!

FOOD by far. We get all medicine for free, diapers are bought at Sam's where they don't take coupons, baby food has been outgrown, no pets. I never see any coupons for beverages and I do use the cleaning product/personal care coupons, but I buy those items less frequently than food.

I can understand how medicine is popular with cold, flu, ointments, creams, etc.

Sometimes you hit the jackpot with $1 off 1 item ... other times it's luke warm like $1 off 3

HBA (health beauty aids), FOOD (3 teens) and cleaning junk if they are GOOD coupons.

I never pay for shampoo/soap/toothpaste etc with the triples around here. 50¢ coupons are even good around here since they are worth $1.50.

me, mostly food (of the snack variety it seems, pasta, pasta sauces, etc.) i only clip the toothpaste/toothbrush ads regularly since most of my health/beauty i buy from bath and body or find a 50% off sale that shows up occasionally at longs drugs.

i'll glady give up all my pet food/baby item coupons, as i don't have pets nor kids.

I'm glad that you mentioned generic medicine.

Lately we've bought nothing but generic OTC (over the counter) medicine after carefully comparing name brand ingredients vs generic. 9 times out of 10 they are 100% exactly the same. Why pay $2 more for Tylenol when store brand medicine has the same ingredients at a cheaper price?

The only issue I've ever had with generic medicine has been taste. The hospital gives us "Q-Tussin" which is supposedly Robitussin but it tastes horrid compared to the real thing. But, considering it's free--I'll deal with it. As far as pills, I've found generic works just fine for OTC. I have had allergic reactions to generic prescription meds, but OTC has always been OK. I have to say, though, I'm glad we get them for free. I'm going to have to start stockpiling soon so we have a nice supply when we get out.

I don't use the Carb Solutions/etc... coupons, so I have those to share. I also don't buy yogurts/ some canned goods......so I always have plenty of extra's.

I do use both dogfood and catfood coupons....although Marbles will only eat Fancy Feast canned. Picky boy! LOL

As far as OTC med's.....if I have a coupon that will get me a better price than generic, then I will buy, if not, generic all the way here.
